I've remembered this piece of music since I was five years old, decades ago, and have been trying to find it ever since. It is magnificent, such an artistic composition.

I think it was a fortune when I heard "Olwen`s Dream". I knew instantly that this music belongs to me. Now I `m back to my piano. Music and Art is a part of me.

As a boy , in the mid 50's , I remember constantly hearing this piece in my home but it wasn't till the advent of the internet that I even new its name let alone its origin . Funny how some movie themes live on long after the movies that introduced them are forgotten . Warsaw Concerto , Unchained Melody , etc.

One of my Mothers favourites, the name of which came to me in the shower a few minutes ago, long forgotten over the last thirty years or more now remembered forever.

Clearing out my grandparents house as they have both left us now. I was given my nana's fathers bag, he played piano. It has this as a piano solo in it, along with church readings. Her name was Olwen, so I guess he played it for her. I just listened to it, it's beautiful.

+ Victoria Clark In Britain where i live this can often be heard on Classic FM or other programmes that reflect the tastes of more discerning older people. Check out the version by the Luton Girls Choir which was a firm favourite here in the 1040's.

Some might find it interesting to Google Olwen w/o "dream of". She's a character in an early mystical/magical story that took place in Wales or Briton. Knowing the story adds something to the song, which has some of the pathos of Olwen & her giant father.
