true story, bro. Most of the demoes on KZbin is that 1 000 000 000 rendition of some kind of Van Halen or some other rock guitarist. Ok, they're great guitarists, nonetheless I need some other approaches with these pedals.

Might be one of my favorite videos on KZbin, not only do I love the pedal (even tho it‘s imo a bit too expensive for someone like me who hasn‘t worked with pedals of any sort before) but the music examples are just so relaxing. I watch the video when I want to see some amazing overview of the MD-200 and when I just want to listen to some music I like. Great job with the video production ^^

You’ve made the chorus, vibrato, and phase effects on the MD-200 sound much more tantalizing and useful than I’d expected! I hope that the MD-500 I’m getting sounds similar, though it appears to lack the occasional distortion or fuzz that are on MD-200 (I’m getting the 500 because of the programmable, expanded Slicer effect).

It sounds like dreampop and shoegaze are different now. Are they? In 1991 they meant same thing yes I am old
@pedalpartners4 жыл бұрын
i tend to not get too tied up in genre names. a lot of people say they're different in that shoegaze is normally more distorted & dream pop is more ethereal - but a lot of bands in each of the genres have elements which are interchangeable between the two :)
@frankfrank79214 жыл бұрын
There's a lot of overlap even within in the same band but one distinction I make is that in Shoegaze the vocals blend in with the mix as another texture or effect whereas in Dream Pop there's a tendency to write an actual "pop" song with intelligible lyrics and vocals more up front while the instruments are nonetheless bathed in an ocean or atmosphere of reverb/delay/modulation. Of course there are exceptions so in the end it doesn't matter because most people who like one like the other.

is that clicking when the slicer ping pongs L and R produced by the pedal or is that an artifact introduced in mixing or post?
@brownsofbeverly4 жыл бұрын
From what I understand, it is probably from the pedal/slicer effect, but can be dialed out based on preference. If you you look up clips of the original Boss Slicer you will see that it makes that sound, but can be adjusted to be less rhythmic. Hopefully someone chimes in to confirm.
@JasonQuackenbushonGoogle4 жыл бұрын

How does the Chorus/Vibrato stack up to the amp or Boss CE-2w? I had a JC-40, downsized to a JC-22, and really miss the vibrato sound. Will the MD-200 fill in? Thanks for the demos
@pedalpartners4 жыл бұрын
i haven't tried the ce-2w, but in comparison to my jc-40 it can achieve very similar sounds. it's also more versatile given that you have standard chorus & vibrato modes + ce-1 which in itself has ce-1 chorus & ce-1 vibrato. there's also more control over parameters on the pedal & having tap tempo is a really nice addition, especially when using with delay for example.
