It's not about just gears, yes gears are important, but why would you want to sound like someone else. No offence, but it just doesn't make any sense at all, I can understand if you want to sometimes sound like someone but try to be unique. But if you want to sound like BEA you need to soak your soul in his music, I don't just mean the songs, I mean the techniques and feel, the attack and the mood you also have to listen to what he listens to and little by little it will start getting clearer. His chords are not really the hardest by the way but his technique is something else, if you want to noodle like he does it's more of like funk and modern metal and just being yourself, and being happy with new discoveries but the more you try to be exactly like someone else the sadder you become and the more unnecessary you spend on gears, watch reviews and see what heard fit your style and buy em that's all.

Kingsley Schmidt I didn’t say that. I was referring to the quality of his recording. However, if I want to sound like someone else that’s okay too, if that doesn’t make sense for you, maybe it does for some people

Excellent demo. I ending buying the MD200 a while back after watching it so thank you! I've had this my board for awhile and found it very useful. I do love it. The one thing that irks me however is the controls on the Rotary. I really need a depth control on it to control the intensity of the effect. Unfortunately for me, Boss chose to substitute gain drive for depth (I prefer my own overdrives) and the E. Level nob on the Rotary setting doesn't control the effect level but only the volume level of the pedal itself so there is no work-around using other pedals. So I find myself mostly avoiding Rotary on this pedal except for maybe if I cover something like Let It Loose by the Stones!
@mercedesescobarmusic Жыл бұрын
Isn't it supposed to have an EXP pedal connector so you can do exactly that?
@rishardlampese8947 Жыл бұрын
@@mercedesescobarmusic Thank you! It does have an expression pedal input which I honestly haven't tried, however IMHO you shouldn't NEED an expression pedal to just simply lower the intensity of an effect. I would have to get a bigger board so I can fit an ex pedal on it. Hmmmm....thinking lol.

Getting an rv500 today to work with my ES8! cant wait. Also, I didnt realise these are midi capable. So could I get a dd200 and get cables that attach it to the normal 5 pin midi outs?
@garywapshare67754 жыл бұрын
You can get 5pin din to 1/8jack cables Boss actually do one but it is £17.00. If you are good with a soldering iron get the parts and make your own. One of the pictures for the Boss cable on the Andertons website is actually the wiring diagram for the cable. Don't trust cheap cables you can buy on Ebay, a lot of them the five pin connectors are not wired correctly, I found out the hard way! I am running this pedal and the delay and the graphic EQ with an es8 amongst others on my new board. I hope this helps.

Great pedal. The only negative is the position of the angled stomp box buttons. I have to put it on the second row of my pedalboard, and the angle makes it more difficult to press the buttons. You have to use the tip of your toe if you have a pedal in the first row.

The midi is with a mini TRS jack but taking a look at the MD-200 manual and there is nothing saying that this device is a Midi 2.0 device. I think it’s just Midi 1.0 (which will be backwards compatible and work with Midi 2.0 but not as capable as midi 2.0)
@killacoiler17074 жыл бұрын
The slicer effect kind of produces that Edge from U2 vibe. I dig the pedal but don't want to have to invest in a ton of pedals that is why I like the Artist MK II amplifier it gives you a plethora of shaping options for your sound. If nothing else it is a great starting point before selling the farm to build your ultimate rig. If I were to put something together and start gigging steady the 200 series would be on the top of my list I have run boss pedals in the past as my workhorses and love the range that they have if it has been used to shape guitar sounds Boss/Roland has made it one step better. Cheers and stay safe!

Question: does the wha is after the distiorsion pedal, using md200? And do you confirm that it is possible manage the wha sound using an expression pedal? Thanks
@SellTheProphet662 жыл бұрын
Great video but i had a question: given this is all modulation and modulation is best put in the effects loop. Can you run the ins/outs into the effects loop of 2 different amps? In other words, in/out A into fx loop of one amp and in/out B into fx loop of a separate amp? Or is it best to have this go into the front of the 2 amps?
@JoelCaseyJonesMusic Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say modulation is BEST put in the FX loop. I actually don’t like it in the loop as the sounds are too pronounced. I have them all in front of my drive pedals and then into the front of amp from there. That said, if that’s how you like mods this would certainly work that way... you can take the FX out of each head into L or R of the MD200 respectively, and then back into the corresponding return.
