Thanks for the update Marcus. Looking great mate. Have you considered dosing phytoplankton directly from the fridge?
@ReefNerd
@ReefNerd 3 жыл бұрын
It could be done... but id have to modify the frigde or figure out how to get a line out of it and use another dosing pump/dose head etc... not a priority for me right now

With you sump size. You should have designed larger display. I know it never end. But i feel you will be upgrading soon the way corals are growing.

Awesome tank, Jammed with beautiful coral, shame your having to trim constantly or you could well be on your way to some large colonies in such a short space of time. Great 👍 collection of beautiful fish, too many nice ones to pick a favourite, but if I had to, then I’d say the tangs and the beautiful clowns. I’m sure you’ll be wanting to upgrade your tank sooner or later at this current rate of coral growth. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thanks for the update. Your collection is absolutely beautiful- but I think you need a bigger tank so they can continue growing into huge colonies😜

For gonis they really love to eat, aminos, nitrate, phosphate etc are a must and they love high light.

Hi Marcus - can you go over the Hydros - like did you get it from the US (like 110V?) and does it run your pumps without the powerbricks? I'm thinking about getting a hydros with the Octo pulse pumps ;) 2 Lineatus - wow... that Deshy is incredible! - tank looks great ;)

no worries, ill do a video on it at some point in the next month or two. It comes with a 240v compatible powersupply, but yes it came from the states

@@ReefNerd Awesome - guess it will work then ;) I could buy off the Coralvue website and use my shipping forwarder. I will probably ask first though as I was thinking of getting the newer smaller Wavebox - that's great news ;) Thanks

Manganese is the key for gonies my friend, it is pretty fast depleted from tank (usually through algae). Those two on the other hand are hard to revive just with going back to good manganese levels. I would suggest to take them out to put in a food bath with aminos, goniopower , twice a week in a tank water with a lot od food 30 min for 3 weeks

Your sand bed is also consuming Alk, the bacteria produces CO2 which consumes Alk. I would think your scrubber which consumes CO2 would actually counter this. I’m not sure how the scrubber would consume Alk.
