The on etching I care about is that Techno is still tall and bulky and Phil is very small and skrunkly. Their height differences and body shape will never falter. This made me realize something.. As someone who is trying to learn how to animate smoothly, and perfectly, it doesn’t have to be that way. It doesn’t have to be complete movement. It could just be an animatic, not an animation. They can carry emotion the same way, and are both equal to astonishment. This does not mean that I have to give up learning how to do things 110% smoothly, though, but it doesn’t mean i can just make animatics either. Like I said, both are equal and deserve huge amounts of love

I love how it still feels like somehow Philza is the older and more mature one? Like, the way he combed Techno’s hair, it made him seem like an older brother figure who was caring for his younger friend. Even when he’s jumping into Techno’s arms or hugging him Piglin Phil somehow still feels “bigger” - like he’s the one protecting Techno instead of the other way around, which you might expect because of Techno being bigger. It’s awesome.

Technoblade hissed, stumbling away from the bastion. His arm was broken and bloodied, his body sore, one wing bent, the spine of it definately cracked. And for what? A handful of gold? He had gone there in search of riches, hoping to pay off his debt to the Dream SMP king. His legs finally buckled and he fell to the ground. A gasp escaped his lips as his arm burst with white hot pain. Nothing to do but sit there and wait for the monsters to come. To come and destroy him. Phil crouched behind the boulder, watching. The man was different... fascinating. Usually he would not hesitate to help his tribe destroy those who sought their treasure. But this one. New. From the moment he saw him, a string pulled at his heart. A string drawing him to the winged figure before him. Phil took a deep breath and stepped forward. "Mate? You okay?" *** Technoblade whipped around and stared at the piglin. The creature's eyes were soft, bright green. A green bucket hat sat atop his strawberry blonde fur. Something was off about it. The piglin slowly moved forward, bringing his hands up in surrender. Techno's tense shoulders slumped and he allowed the piglin to get closer. "Hey mate," it said, a slight growl in his words- yet soft. Techno did not answer. "Big wound you got there," it said as it crouched beside him and examined his arm. "And I'm pretty sure that's not how your wing is supposed to look. Here..." It reached into a satchel and pulled out a roll of bandages and a pocket knife. Cutting the bandages, it proceeded to wrap them around Technoblade's arm. "I'm Phil by the way." *** Phil and Techno stumbled into the piglin's cabin, the Avian's arm around the piglin's shoulder. Phil rested Technoblade down on the couch and moved to the kitchen. "We don't have much... mushroom stew... some netherwart pastries. That's it," the piglin mumbled. "Don't worry about me, I'm not hungry," Techno answered quickly. Phil whipped around. "No way. You're gonna eat something." *** Phil soon grew fond of the stranger bunking in his living room. As the days passed, the pair learned more and more about each other. Techno was quite an artist. He showed Phil many paintings of the Overworld, where he came from. Phil was interested mostly in the moon. He wasn't fond of how Techno described the Dream SMP. The two would explore the Nether mapping the lava oceans, the caves, bastions, fortresses... it was quite amazing. Phil had never explored the Nether this much. Time flew by, and soon it was time to take off Technoblade's bandages. Techno sat down at the table and braced himself. First Phil gently slid the bandages off his arm, which was fine beside it leaving a small scar. But then came the wings. And Techno was afraid. The bloodied cloth fluttered to the ground. Techno spread his wings. *** Phil yawned as he leaned against the Blackstone. Shifts in the bastion were quite boring. And long. Luckily his was almost over. Footsteps echoed from the stairs and a group of piglins suddenly turned the corner, heading straight towards him. "Ahh, is it over? I hadn't notic-" Phil wasn't able to finish the sentence before he was slammed against the wall. "What the-" "WE KNOW YOU HAVE HIM," one piglin growled, grabbing his collar and lifting him into the air. Phil struggled for breath. "Wha-" "DON'T PLAY DUMB! That stranger is with you. We know it! You're a traitor, a disgrace. I can't wait to execute you," his attacker said. Pain exploded in his face, and Phil let out a strangled cry. All he could see was *red.* He dropped to the ground and a boot smashed his chest. A rip cracked. Phil could feel himself screaming. "Shut up. And go to sleep," the piglin said, taking out a Potion and throwing it down. The bottle smashed, coating Phil in a liquid he recognized. Sleeping. His eyes fluttered shut. The next thing he knew he was lifted into the air, a pair of wings spreading. He looked down at his dead brethren, and back up at *Technoblade.* "It hurts," he slurred. And suddenly he was in open air. *** He awoke in his bed. Techno sat at the desk near him, sleeping. Bandages covered Phil's face and chest and he winced as he sat up. He swung his legs over the side of the mattress and stood, grimacing, and hobbled over to the desk. Technoblade's eyes opened and he shot up. "YOU! WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED! WHY WERE YOU ATTACKED- This is my fault isn't it. Why did you help me, you stupid little-" Phil watched as Techno paused, staring at him, then slowly lowered his head and clutched the piglin's arms. "You're so kind. So... why can't you be selfish, for once in your life...?" Phil sighed and wrapped his arms around Techno, pulling the Avian into an embrace. He was fine. They were fine. *I know this is not the original storyline of the animatic or the real fanfic, but I like to write so yea.*
