So I had a thought about S2. My understanding is that there's a server-reset where everyone loses their memories. Well, Ranboo, Niki, Kristin and Phil are in different dimensions when this server wipe happens. So what if they keep their memories since they're disconnected from the main server, allowing Phil to keep Techno's memory alive even as the dsmp continues on? Techno could even become a mythical hero to the dsmp, like the stories he admired so much. It's just a thought. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this

I think what hurt me most (other than the stream end and bursting into tears), was seeing Techno's pearl still waiting behind his chair. It is just such a painful reminder that he won't be coming back. I also am pretty disappointed in the other Dream SMP members for their plans for season 2. I was full of hope that even in forgetting the first world, they would still work Techno's memories into the lore or at least have a journey to rediscovering those memories and honoring him. Unfortunately it seems to me that if Phil isn't comfortable joining S2, then there is no plan for that to happen. We love you Phil, so so much. Thank you for keeping his memory alive. He was the best of us.

I agree -- it felt like the perfect goodbye. I loved Connor and Kristin in this I have theories (especially after watching Boomer's S1 finale) that some of the characters might keep or regain their memories, especially given how many characters have lost memory as a part of their backstory already. But it makes sense for Phil not to want his character to join the start of season 2 if it means having to forget Techno. Maybe there will be a way back for his character later, for someone who does remember Techno to rejoin and maybe even tell others about him. We'll have to see.

I know this is not up to par with Tommy, Tubbo, or Quackity's finales, but this was a great lore stream. It showcases Phil still having some grief for Techno's passing (which can now be stated that when the original Techno died, the character had died too with his only canon life) and is still trying to move on. But I was caught off guard when Kristen (Phil's wife) showed up who is a character that is on the same god-level status as Dream XD. Not only that, but due to her status and her watching over the world, she was able to take notice of Tommy and Dream's final conflict as well as Tubbo and his nuke that was launched by a vengeful Jack. Hence why Kristen had to get Phil out of the world before its too late not only did she save her husband from impending death and possible memory loss, but also Niki and Connor (his ghost), as well as Ranboo (his ghost form that is called Boo I'm assuming) and Michael. I know that Phil said he won't be appearing in Season 2 from the start due to still trying to get over Techno, but when he does though I can picture him, Kristen, Niki, and Connor appearing on the new Dream SMP world with their memories still intact. I believe The End will be considered a shelter for the group and once the nuke hits and the world resets, once they leave The End, they will be in the Season 2 world.

This perfectly paired the quiet sorrow of moving through a space that holds the memories of a passed friend, and the quiet sorrow of meandering around on a Minecraft world that was once full of life. In any abandoned world, every block, every decorational detail, every named mob, and every chest full of random items: they tell the story of a world with a long history of actions and thoughts, both meaningful and trivial. A long line of individual alterations to each blockspace, actions that meant something to the people who made them at the time, and now all that is left behind is the legacy of those actions, suspended and preserved in time by Minecraft's unchanging world. A world that is just these details, devoid of the context of the people who created them, is - in my opinion - one of the saddest things you can experience in funny block game. We all miss Technoblade, I'm sure none more than Phil and his other friends. It was very cathartic to be able to briefly look back into those fond memories, to reminisce and bask in the sadness there. It brought me a further sense of closure, one I didn't know I needed. Thank you Phil. Less than three.

This stream/VOD feels like the perfect conclusion for me. I got into the DSMP because of Techno, but not until after he passed away. I wanted something to help me cope, so I watched all his VODs. I got interested in the story, so I began to watch Wilbur's POV, which I had already a bit since he had some shorter videos on lore. Then I got into Phil and Ranboo as content creators through that I never watched Tommy's final stream, but it was everywhere. Supposedly the server had been nuked, everything was gone, and then it all reset with no one having any past memories. It actually hurt me. It hurt me because the builds that never got use by Techno were gone. It hurt because beloved mob companions were gone, which this stream confirmed (in my head I was screaming for him to go back for at least Carl, I was surprised the sheep got to go but Phil (not to bash him personally) didn't consider to go back for any of the animals), and I was especially hurt about the no memory plot, which Phil perfectly vocalized my feelings about at the end I'm not trying to bash anyone who wanted to do the plot or anything about it. I don't hold any ill will against anyone for being in season 2. It's just a thing that is what it is but it still hurts me. The primary reason is because of Techno. His memory doesn't just live on through this server, it goes so far beyond that, but the DSMP was a big part of it no doubt. I don't have the exact words for it, but I wouldn't say it was disrespectful. the DSMP would have ended one day, but I think it's just how it ended. Just, the fact that (in the story at least), everything Techno did, did along with chat, is now gone. the dogs named after donators, the builds, the animals, gone. most importantly, the literal memory of Techno is gone, and I think it's the last one that bothers me the most

Gosh I had this long comment typed out and deleted it by accident 😓 the tl;dr was that it sounds like the end of the season feels like mourning Techno's death all over again, and that sucks, I'm sorry. It made me think a bit and I hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts. Personally I'm glad they went out in a blaze of glory for season 1, because it felt very Techno to end everything in a huge explosion like with the Doomsday War. Except this time literal Doomsday. It felt to me more like a tribute, since even if the characters don't remember, the creators do and were probably inspired by him

If Phil were to join season 2 (I'm not saying he has to, this is just an 'if'), there is a possible loop hole to the "forgetting" Mumza saved Niki, Connor, and Phil by having them go to The End, she also "took care" of Ranboo so (depending on what she did) they could all have their memories of Techno and still have things "be a bit fuzzy" to go with the memory loss thing, to everybody else it could just seem like they made up this "Blood God" but to them it would be Techno. You could even fit Wilbur in it too since he dissapeared to Utah (only if he were to make an appearance in season 2). I haven't caught up on Tommy's lore so I'm not sure how he would be included in retaining memories. Keep in mind though that this is just an idea, not a suggestion.

From what i know Techno was a great streamer and he will forever in the hearts of his friends, the videos he was in, and his voices(chat). And as he always said "TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES" he lives on as a reincarnated form of himself he will be back and better than before.
