I love Dream State, loved CJ and her voice brought SO much to the table. Obviously Jesse isn't CJ, but this song slaps HARD. She's got some of that grit in her voice, but also transitions into pure cleans really well. And what almost sounded like fry singing at the end? I'm honestly really impressed. This song goes hard and brings a smile to my face. I'm sad CJ has moved on, but I'm equally as excited for the future.

Wait, is this why she looks and sounds a little different than normal, bc it's not the same "she" after all!? I'm shocked! First of all, bc cj is so good and how do you do dreamstate without her. Second, bc this chic, Jesse as you call her, is actually very similar in sound and looks that I just thought maybe cj was sick (bc Jesse's tone is more hoarse) and lost unnecessary weight or something, bc she's pretty thin in the video. I never once thought it was a totally different chic, but obviously it's a noticeable, just not enough to know for sure that it's a different artist, so they chose a great replacement for her.

About 7/8 years ago Dream state opened up a gig that my then band headlined at a venue called the Parrot in wales. They were solid as, then went on to do some amazing things for a young band. Despite the lineup change, which always rattled feathers. Jessie seems like a rad way of pushing further. Glad she’s onboard and you guys are back to it

I was a little worried that the band would lose their essence with the departure of 80% of the original members. However, I am really glad that is not the case. The new members along with Aled have made a good job at not letting Dream State's identity fade away, and they now got me on the edge of my seat waiting for new music and tours.

I honestly think Dream State made a great choice for their new singer. Like I know a lot of people are saying she sounds nothing like CJ but her vocal style is really similar to me. The chorus sounds like a Dream State song. The angsty screams sounds like Dream State. Like I am super impressed with this song and super impressed with their choice for their vocalist. 💛💛

Dream State always stood out for me amoungst the plethora of generic metalcore bands, mostly due to CJ's unique vocal style. You could always feel the true passion in her melodies. Without taking anything away from Jessie, I suppose shifting towards a more 'Architects' style sound is a far more successful formula, albeit a less interesting one. I always thought this band deserved more recognition than they have received in the past. With the new line-up and songwriting approach, it's easy to see this band becoming far more popular with the mainstream than they ever have been. For those fans that are still on-board, the future looks bright.
