Having some REALLY good faith in Twitch here and saying that perhaps the reason they put everyone in such a small room for the panel is for security reasons. Even the small group that was there was acting inappropriate, could you imagine how dangerous it would be to have a concert hall full of people like that? it would be out of control.

I love how everyone’s focused on the twitch staff, when anyone with eyes knows the event was mostly cringe because the fans who did get in (unsurprisingly) behaved inappropriately as they do online. From obscene shirts to inappropriate questions, it was minecraft KZbin fans who tainted that event. More space would’ve only resulted in more cringe. When they behave like this on the internet it gets filtered as white noise. In person you see how creepy and inappropriate it really is. And to be clear-I don’t think it’s most of the viewers/fans. But a vocal minority that ruins it for everyone else. Of course youtubers won’t publicly admit any of this and so typical terrible twitch bears the brunt

It is just a small number, and Phil actually did mention this later on in the stream. He stated that security wasn't really paying attention and agrees that a fair number of fans were acting terribly and should've been moved out of there. Doesn't have to do with Twitch, but apparently some fans were even waiting in the hotel lobbies waiting to see the streamers, which Phil says should NOT have happened, and should never happen again.
