Not to mention the biggest factor, and something a simulation can't account for... how MJ would respond if he felt his legacy was on the line against the likes of Kobe or Lebron. He'd do exactly as he'd just got done doing to Drexler only a few months prior in the 92 finals. He was at the absolute peak of his immense skills in 92. Mike took a back seat in those Olympics and allowed others to shine, especially Barkley. But if a game was tight, and especially if his legacy was threatened, that psychopathic competitive nature of his would switch on. And Magic Johnson saw first hand what happens when that switch is flipped in an exhibition game with that team. MJ called it the best game he'd ever played. And it happened because Magic's team took an early lead and he started talking trash. After that scrimmage nobody on that team had any doubt who the best player in the league was. Furthermore that the gap between him and everyone else was significant. Clyde walked up to Magic and said... "Hell I coulda told you that already"

Do a 6 team dream team tournament and slot them like this 1. 92 dream team vs 6. 2016 olympic team 2. 96 dream team vs 5. 2012 team 3. 00 dream team vs 4. redeem team you will need to adjust the minutes that each player plays to get a more realistic scenerio. for example, bird was 35 and with a bad back in 92 he wouldn't play more than 10 minutes a game if that. Lattner wouldn't even be allowed in the gym.

IRL the 2008 team is badly overmatched in the front court and on the bench. The one advantage they'd otherwise have would be negated by the short 3 pt. line. At that range MJ, Drexler, and especially Barkley would be deadly... let alone Bird, Mullin, and Stockton. Barkley shot 70% from the field and 80% from 3 in the 92 Olympics. And he'd dominate in the post and on the glass too. His skill set is perfect for international play. Dream Team in 5.
