learned a lot from this performance...mainly that Dave isnt a good lead guitarist... His portion of the solo was laughable.

He's actually a very good lead guitarist. It was surely a pitiful rendition, but mind it was recorded in 2005, 3 years after Dave lost much of the movement of his left hand and was still relearning to play.

gcavaresi i dont think that was the issue. all daves solos sound like that going back to the early days of Metallica
