Hey Guitarchampions! Thx for the great feedback so far. :) Should I do a full note for note lesson on this song? Let me know in the comments. :) And what do you think of this song? To make some things clear: No I'm not an alien and did not cover this song in 5 minutes :D :D Depending on were you live the song is released a bit earlier. Always on midnight and I live in Germany so for example 6hrs earlier than in the US. Cheers and subscribe for more covers and lessons :)

Even if you’re super familiar with the “Petrucci” style, the speed at which you’ve managed to learn the song is incredible! And this is also one of those “half a million time signature change” songs.

I’m not sure what impressed me more; your ability to play JP’s parts so well, or the fact that the song just came out and you did it AND have it memorized. I guess I’ll be impressed by all of it. 👍🏼 Outstanding job!!!

In all seriousness, that was incredible. I may have heard one flat note at the outro, but am also by no means an expert. One. Maybe. Your precision, energy, and the organic way you play is really fun to watch and listen to.

You absolutely nailed the interlude before the solo at 4:40!! I’m still trying to figure that one out. Even after hearing it some multi dozen times, It’s hard to detect repeatable patterns in petrucci’s sequencing on the guitar. Very impressive!
@kaoko1113 жыл бұрын
Must be frustrating for John to take months to craft a new album that is a long complex conceptual masterpiece just to realize some guy on KZbin already did a full cover mere hours after release. Great job.

It's a 9:30 song by one of the worlds most notorious shredders, the patience and determination to nail every note that fast is amazing, I'm impressed! Even though I know it's far from impossible, heck I have memorized over two hours worth of playing before a gig, but that took _a_lot_ of time ... about the song, I'm not sold yet!

This phenomenon occurs because those who study the Petruccian school are already familiar with the compositional style of this icon of the guitar. And let's be honest, even if this is a new DT album, there is nothing that comes out of the repetitive and already somewhat boring compositional formulas. Anyway, a valuable achievement by the interpreter of this alien piece.

Hey Justin! What can i say for your playing that others haven't said already? I just love watching you play,such a great watch,and listen,every time! Just a question.I have never understood where one riff ends and the next begins. So,could you tell me how many unique (not counting the repeated ones) riffs are in this song? And,based on the number of guitar riffs on the whole new DT album,do you find it to be more riffy than other DT albums? And do these riffs guide the songs,or are there to support the rythme section of the songs? I ask you because on my listens so far,i have trouble distinguishing the guitar riffs,and they sound very same-y to me. I could be very wrong though,that's why i am asking you,to listen to the album with a new perspective,and focus carefully on things i haven't noticed yet. Thank you! 🤟
