Thanks Liz! I am inspired! The kitchen needs renovated first, but that closet is in need of some serious upgrading. It has (sub) builder grade wire shelves and racks. Ugh. Thanks for all your great info. I am googling my options now....

It's got a lifetime guarantee! The installer gave me the full breakdown, but youtube doesn't have the patience for screws and toggle bolts!

Are those 8' ceilings? What would be your recommendation for new build (planning stage) where the closets have 9' ceilings? In your professional closet-designing experience, would you say it could be useful to add another high shelf inside a 9' ceiling closet, for rarely used items? Or is 9' complete BS and overkill and I'd be better asking them to lower down to 8' ? My closet plan shows 6' x 10' in dimension. Love your channel !!!

The ceilings are 8’. If you have the height, cheat the top shelf up a bit if you have tall people in the family. But that one is 84” high. The extra foot with a 9’ ceiling would give you more room for larger boxes and out of season storage!

I understand about the fur. I'm in my 60s and have my grandmother's fur. I'm against using some animal's fur, but there is no way I will get rid of my grandmother's fur. I can remember her getting dressed up to go to town with her fur.

Love to know the cost of this closet. I have 7 walk in closets and 3 regular not counting a pantry that I have to budget for.

Back when I worked as a closet designer, a rough number for estimating was about $150 a linear foot for basic hanging and shelves. Add the drawers, extras and inflation and it’s about double that! California closets is the best quality and I paid extra for that. There are other companies and local fabricators that may be near you. Get a free estimate and see! You’d be a client I was happy to see with so many!😇👩‍🎨

For a large walk in closet with double rods for hanging, do you think one or two valet rods are needed for one person?

I love them and use them for everything. Packing, laying out outfits for the week, steaming items, hanging what I just took off. If it doesn’t break the budget, stock up!🤣

Why not get the IKEA closet shelving? But their bookcases seem to be everywhere, sturdy and practical, so if they fit? Why not!

Look, I used to work in home organization, for lowes. There are only so many ways to set this over priced, special order melamine compressed wood products, in a small space. Believe me, this stuff costs a freaking fortune!
