As I enter the final stages on my Yamaha xs650 build I go through a run down front to back and what's left to do.

Vision+Drive. A steadfast grip on what should be achieved, you were not f#£@g about with the quality end product for sure! Watched them all and only commenting now, should have had more views/subscribers from the XS devotees. I put a stock xs in a 90 gsxr 750 slingshot frame and one hard mount vs rubber mounts was straight forward but head steady required too much thought, too much control then not enough, gas struts or " bumpers" heat expansion and over bracing etc etc = Give up. But in your case- Excellent 👍 and enjoy your build (it really was yours and you claim the trophy) Now, rest and repeat! Best wishes

Thank you very much. And I'm glad you have been following the build. I'm just currently sculptureing the seat foam and will hopefully have another vid soon.

Very nice work! I love how you cleaned up the area around the battery box and what you did with the rear swingarm. I hear what you're saying about doing a job, re-doing it and then doing it again. I don't know how many times I've redone my wiring but I have to do it again.😊

Thank you mate, I'm really happy with how the battery box turned out. I did a few cardboard designs and kept testing for fit etc. I had one template made from steel, then the final one made with alterations and powder coated.

Again nice work. I seem to remember reading that these engines tend to develop cracks in the bottom end above a certain HP. I don't recall what that number is. You may want to research this. You've put in too much work to have it wrecked by having " Too much" fun.

Hi Ed, I did lots of research on these motors before starting the build and they are very bullet proof with many sidecar racers taking these to 880cc and higher BHP. My 744 will vibrate much less also than a stock engine as its rephased.

The details on your bike are top notch. Looking at your bike, I feel compelled to go for a brushed finish on my engine, sliders and cast wheels. It never really stops does it?
@danryan49973 ай бұрын
Thank you, for me when looking at anything intended to be nice the detail is what makes it for me. Yes the brushed look in my opinion gives it that high quality finish.

Nice! Like the details. Is there a build topic on some forum to follow?

Hi mate, watched this series with great interest. Really like what you did to accommodate the rear tire. Is it possible to replicate this i.e. do you sell any of the parts you've made? Cheers and happy riding
@danryan49972 ай бұрын
Hi Mate, oh great that you like the series. I don't, they are all one off parts that I had to bribe my engineer with money and plenty of biscuits to do for me.

@@danryan4997 a familiar process 😭. Thanks for responding and ride your machine in the very best of health!
