Yeah, I do think Italo House kind of influenced videogame music during the 90s (starting with Streets of Rage by Sega). Many PlayStation games of that decade have a similar style in their soundtracks too

This tune seems to evoke the universe and a deep sense of peace for lots of people. I was looking at paintings of Jesus when I heard this for the first time, and it completely blew my mind - all these attempts to capture the essence of the most perfect man who ever lived. There's a shiny hidden pool of gems created in a short-range of time between 89 and 91 that are in the same wave of this masterpiece. All of them built on top of a same style, all of them from italy, all of them are sinesthetic works that are in fact pragmatically capable to show places by proposing vibes. This, in my modest opinion, is one of the most beautiful examples of the shiny golden hidden age of the italian/mediterranean house scene. Lucky is the human being that will experience love with another human being on a sparkling dawn under a starry night while listening to this gem.

If you could point me in the direction of a few other tracks from this era I'd be hugely grateful... I got into 'rave' music around late 92/93 listening to mixtapes from Fantazia, Dreamscape, Obsession etc, then Jungle hit and I didn't resurface from that until around 97, then it was Trip Hop, Breakbeat, Techno and now its Deep House, Dub Techno, Ambient and other wierd uncategorisable bass music that I seek out. I'm always looking to the past though and I missed this era by a few years so it's all a bit of an unknown to me... any recommendations would be great! One Love 🙏

The transition in kick, beat, music build up is really interestin from 1988-1992 and forward in house, rave etc to the familiar structure modern music has today. The 1998-2002 change in trance and gabber/hardcore was also a gamechanger of interest

This is a beautiful track, but Italian House at the time much like Italian Disco before that suffered from a quantity over quality problem. It was very difficult to sift through all those records recycling the same old chords and beats to find the gems.
