@midnight-20216 жыл бұрын
@@jacksonmasco this is the same sound that I hear when I do listen to radio crap. New songs that I hear on the radio and the music from this band are bland and therefore boring. The best and most creative new music for me has been from my own research on KZbin and other internet websites not the radio. But this band isn't one of them. The newer bands that I personally like from the last decade plus are mostly from Europe and these bands mix classical, folk and other styles of music with rock and metal. Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Arch Enemy, Eluveitie, Cellar Darling and many others blow these newer radio bands of the past 15 years away in creativity. The Japanese band, The Wagakki band, that I discovered this year blew me away with them mixing western style rock, metal, progressive and American pop with traditional Japanese folk. And my favorite American artist that I discovered this year is Samantha Fish who is a blues artist that mixes rock, American and old school country & western in her music besides her playing traditional blues. I will still listen to radio from time to time hoping that I will find good new music from new bands but a majority of the time I am disappointed.

@@80Facepalm08 probably the reason this isn't that great to me 🤔 Thanks for reminding me of that band. And also, that this is basically just a knockoff Flyleaf b-side.

Exactly. Just cause the singer is a female, everyone thinks they sound like Paramore.
@leonardmccain6687 жыл бұрын
It's not that. Both singers do a couple similar vocal flourishes, like the way they have a slightly extended and stressed vowel pronunciation, and have similar vocal ranges. The bands themselves don't sound particularly similar.

It's like Arya Stark and Hayley Williams had a baby together! Haha jk but seriously tho this chicks voice is DOPE! LOVE those screams! Definitely going on my playlist! ✊🏼🤘🏼
@mmafighter29927 жыл бұрын
Val Macanas idk what other bands you're referring to cause only other female fronted band I can think of at the moment is Evanescence. But this girl does have a slight similarity. But my comment was just to say she has some serious singing talent like Hayley and not that she's a copy cat or anything like that.
@sunflowerbunny17437 жыл бұрын
It's cuz Hayley is considered "iconic" as one of the first female punk artists that reached a universal audience. It's common for people to compare other artists to her, just like people compare so many artists to Melanie Martinez (which gets reaaallllyyy annoying quick, btw). Personally, I can see how this artist looks like Arya, but she sounds NOTHING like Hayley, her voice is lower and more rough when she screams lyrics. Hayley is smoother (which isn't a bad thing) and has honestly gone more mainstream with her music lately. She kinda fell down the rabbit hole with everyone else, like Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift (I was fans of their older music, not so much the newer stuff)
@omgitsrobsandy7 жыл бұрын
Val Macanas it's hilarious man, like people have nothing original to say about female-fronted bands so they automatically compare them to Paramore
@mmafighter29927 жыл бұрын
Val Macanas 🤦🏼♂️I know they are from the UK I was talking about all the other comparable bands...like paramore. Even paramore who are massively successful I can only name 2 of their songs even after my cousin's band toured with them for years. So what does that tell you? I just don't listen to the genre very often.
@gusmaiawork7 жыл бұрын
Val Macanas because they were the most influent band in this genre back in the days

I remember seeing this when it came out, and I got the ’small band’ vibes but the song was good. Never listened to them again but this popped up now years later and I’m so happy to see these guys made it way bigger.
@tacomankb5 жыл бұрын
I think I've found my new passion. As a band you're solid. Deeply solid. Although obviously edited together, (props to the editor! ) the flow of each instrument makes it obvious that a full band playthrough would only sound better. That voice, however, makes me want to quit my job, sell everything I own and move to where you are and spend the rest of my life following you guys. Much love from the middle of the united states.
