Let's see. Album recommendations... The two obvious choices for me would be Dystopia: The tree of Language and Apocalypse: Save us. All of their albums are no-skip, but I chose these for specific reasons. See below... Dystopia: Tree of Language is their first full album. It has 9 songs (not counting into, outro and instrumental) plus Siyeon's solo song Paradise. Those 9 songs are a perfect example of just how versatile this group is and just how diverse their discography is. It covers several different genres and each song is different from the others. It is, literally, one of the most diverse albums I have ever heard in my life, and I've heard a lot of albums. Our girls can do it all. As I said, there are 10 songs +intro and outro. If you want to split this up into 2 or 3 videos I'm sure InSomnias won't mind. Also of note: Many of these songs have videos available. Check the [Special Clips] section of the official Dreamcatcher website. There's also a couple vlive videos available for some of the tracks. Apocalypse: Save Us is their second full length album. It has 13 songs plus Intro (no outro). Of those 13 songs, 7 of them are solos, one for each member. Yes, each member got a solo song for this album. Again, D:ToL, each track is different from the next, showing us, again, just how versatile this group is. Best of all, each solo represents each members personality. They each chose the song for themselves and they each took part in the writing, composing and/or the production of their song. Again, it's a long album. If you want to break it up we'll understand. The other alternative would be to just start at the beginning and progress through them in release order. Dreamcatcher's releases tend to come in groups and each group either has a running story or a common theme to it. Here's a quick rundown... Nightmare Series: Their first six releases / MV's tell a dark story about how a group of innocent boarding school girls were cursed and turned into Nightmare. This list... Title track / album Chase Me / Nightmare (their debut) Good Night / Fall Asleep In the Mirror Fly High / Prequel (prequel to Chase Me) You and I / Escape the ERA What / Alone In the City Piri / The End of Nightmare The Dystopian Series: A trilogy of albums that are a commentary on bullying (especially cyber bullying), hate speech and the dark side of the social media and the internet. The list... Scream / Dystopia: The Tree of Language Boca* / Dystopia: Lose Myself (* Boca = mouth in Spanish / Portuguese) Odd Eye / Dystopia: Road to Utopia The Apocalypse Series: Another trilogy. The message for this one, in a nutshell, is stop messing up our planet. The list... Maison* / Apocalypse: Save Us (* Maison means 'home / house in French) Vision / Apocalypse: Follow Us Unreleased as of yet. I believe it's due in May There's also some one-offs, a ton of covers, solos and performance videos, but we'll save those for a little later. Last but not least... If you want to get more familiar with the group and put names to faces, I suggest the 'This Is...' series by youtuber Insomnicsy. These are a series of short (7 minute-ish) videos, each dedicated to a single member. There are 3 series in all, one each for 2020, 2021 and 2022, so 21 videos in all. There's also on This Is video dedicated to the group as a whole. I will warn you, though. You will be VERY surprised by how these people act off stage (in a good way).

AND they made four different music videos of it in various things from full-fledged vid to electric dark vibe to a piano version

If you talking about quality of songs packed in a single album by any artist, there is none like The Tree of Language album. Those B-sides are so good that the title track (Scream) rank in the middle pack for me. Only negative thing is Handong’s voice was missing. Her warm tone will only elevate the songs even more.

The producers really don’t get enough credit! Leez and Ollounder are Dreamcatcher’s main producers and they are also part of the Ateez’s production team. And yes, their concerts are lit! Especially watch out for Silent Night…

I know right? Listening to a group with this much talent and amazingly produced songs just feels so exhausting, but in a good way. Like they've already proven that they're good through one song and you've already used all of your energy to appreciate them, but then you still crave for more, so you listen for more, but they're also just as good (if not better), thus making you feel more "exhausted", and the cycle repeats. Only Dreamcatcher and a very few artists (but mostly dc) can make me feel that way, and I'll be happy and willing to tire myself listening to their discography for hours.

'Fairytale' has to be one of the best feel-good songs I've ever heard. You're gonna find hidden gems in every single album, but when you get to Dystopia: The Tree of Language you'll see that it's not a hidden gem, but a huge diamond the size of the Earth

Thank you for the Dreamcatcher album reaction. In general, fans consider the first studio album Tree of Language as Dreamcatcher's best album. Other albums have different ratings depending on the taste of the fans. But none of Dreamcatcher's albums will disappoint you.

Random fact: Unlike big groups that have the budget and connections to outsource their song production to multiple, outside talents, DC's songs are produced in-house by just 2-3 guys in a studio. Listening to their albums always feels like one of 2 things: Attending a full concert, going on an adventure, or like you said, an experience. It has a start, a climax, and then a good landing.

Loved the album reaction. DCs b-sides always showcase a bunch of different genres and they're always really good. You're right, it really is an experience. If you end up doing more reactions to their albums then you should know that there are special clips and performances for a lot of their b-sides. For instance, this album has a special clip for Fairy Tale and a live one take band version of Some Love & Vision together. Looking forward to seeing you go through the rest of their discography. Also, if no one else mentioned it, the follow up to Apocalypse: Follow Us should be dropping in May. This will be the final part of the Apocalypse Trilogy.

With how you reacted to the song and saying 'I hate how late I am to them.', it's good you didn't react to the special clip for Fairytale. Wouldn't want to lose you to heartache.^^ I think every InSomnia at least coming later than 'The Tree of Language' era hates being late. They made me listen to other K-Pop after I discovered them just 16 months and 12 days ago. Still cried when they got their first win last April. I love your comment about song length. Too many pop songs end too abruptly and can not breath. "Outros", when do well and then again not too long, can be something beautiful. My favourite song last year was Billlie's 'B'rave ~ A Song for Mathilda' and it having a great outro is one reason. Yes, our powerful rapper Dami has actually one of the sweetest singing voices if she wants. Yes, they are great live, I just wish that on time I can see them with a live band. But I guess I would've to go to Korea for that.

Paiiiiin. I love your comment, it's soo relatable (also I find it funny how you are very date specific just as I like to be). I'm basically in an almost identical situation as you but multiply that 10 times. I listened to my first song and watched my first MV just over 2 months ago through 'Vision' (May 21st 2023 if we wanna be specific lmao). I will never forget that day because "Vision' absolutely killed me. DC are probably THE greatest music artists/group that I've ever found and ever will because with those that I've listened to up to this day (across like 10 different languages), there has never been one that made me fall in love to such an extent as Dreamcatcher. With many artists, you might like a lot of songs but not all (whilst still appreciating their other works) but with DC it's different because there isn't a single song that I dislike. This is coming from a fellow Russian Insomnia. As an almost 19 year old guy it's almost crazy to me that some Korean girl group (not like anyone in the K-pop industry much to my surprise) would make me feel a million different emotions when I listen to their music, from happy to sad tears. I really love their rock inspired music, the EDM and Trap that I grew up with, everyone has insane vocals (just one word, "Siyeon"), the members are a bunch of funny crackheads whilst also being very humble and kind, every track has a divine instrumental, ballads are art, hype dance choreos, deep/meaningful/relatable lyrics, unique concept and endless extra content that I know I will never get through (vlogs and hundreds of dance performances). I started my listening journey that same day with 'Chase Me' and then slowly went through everything that followed in release order. It was during important exams period and I normally don't like to rush through music when it's soo freaking good. I can now say that I've officially caught up and DC have made me buy my first ever physical music album. It really shocked me when I found out how long it took them to get their first win, they're literally born to perform on stage. I really want to experience them live if the opportunity comes (I've literally never been to any concert in my life). I very rarely write comments, let alone this long, but Dreamcatcher just got me feeling passionate. Thank you for reading this far, if you're still with me 💀but in short, I can't imagine my life not discovering this hidden gem. Wow, I've never heard any of these songs!? I have been into Kpop only a year but I've been watching most groups main MVs and go from there. I LOVE this group to death but like other groups, I've yet to hear the b sides. I see they have 16 MVs but 63 (?) Songs? Is this right? I like the main mvs. That's all an familiar with. The title tracks are some of my favorite videos ever... not sure how I feel about these... :) I will stick through till the end regardless. Respect.

@Pat Gibson When I asked about you doing the reaction I did not know there were all1 these B sides. To be 100% honest I did not care for a few of the songs on this album. I REALLY like their title tracks. I hope you listen to a few more before moving on. BOCA was number 2 in a 3 part trilogy (remember it said to be continued). Also there are a dozen songs that are just Legendary. I listed a few before... Try Scream and ODD EYE to finish the trilogy. Also, De Ja Vu, BEcause, and Maison I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Siyeon, Dami and Sua are my biases, Jiu is my wrecker (specially when wearing a suit) Siyeon and Dami were bias at first sight, Sua was a wrecker until I got to know her personality, that made her a bias as well... They're my #1 female group for many reasons, and I know 30+ female groups... I'm so excited you will get to watch their new comeback! Don't worry, we all in the same boat💀I discovered them just over 2 months ago now and I feel exactly the same way. Personally for me, there has never been an artist or group that has made me feel so emotional in a million different ways like Dreamcatcher. They even made me buy my first ever physical album. I'm an almost 19 year old guy (yet I feel old) and DC just hits different for me, it's always been cool reading other fans comments. I'm soo grateful I found this group, even if late. I have very recently caught up to their entire discography and I will pray for the health of this group and our whole fandom. I've never been to a single concert before but DC might make me, hopefully they do a World Tour again one day. I don't usually comment anywhere but I just love them. Love the shout out to the producers! Leez and Ollounder have been the main creative force behind Dreamcatcher for most of their career, they’re amazing and also work with Ateez a lot! The girls themselves are also super creatively driven-many of them have writing credits on individual songs, Dami is really interested in producing, and Sua has choreographed one of their b-sides and several covers! Album recommendations?? I’d definitely go for Apocalypse: Save Us! It’s their second full-length album and so so good. The real gem is that the second half of the album features a solo song for each member, so it’s a great way to start learning their individual voices and styles :) Plus, the title track Maison is the first part of the Apocalypse trilogy-so Vision follows it!

Yessss, I'm also insanely grateful for discovering them. It's been just over 2 months since I heard my first song from them 'Vision', better late than never I guess. I have recently caught up with their entire discography (I listened to everything in release order minus 'Vision'). They have quickly become one of my favourite artists/groups of all time and I won't be surprised if my first time going to any concert will be Dreamcatcher, I hope we both get to experience them. Also luckily they have renewed their contracts so we have more years for a chance. I've never owned a physical album of anyone before but Dreamcatcher have broken that because I already got my hands on 'Apocalypse : Save us' limited edition (lol). ive listened to A LOT of Kpop, thousands of title and b-side tracks. My interest first and foremost is the music- the dancing, personalities, fashion and the idols themselves are a nice bonus, but I'm always searching for new music that appeals to me. In terms of production, there are few groups that in the upper echelon with Dreamcatcher. Like you said, the care put into the production, and the production itself sharing a spotlight with the girls and letting the instrument and tracks breathe takes their music to the next level imo. Dreamcatcher have a very special discography that is only matched by groups like Loona (I'd also put Mamamoo and Red Velvet up there too, but I enjoy DC and Loona's full discography a bit more).

My guy great reaction! Do yourself a huge favor and react to "Shadow" both versions, it has both Siyeon and Dami and if you want to hear them Sang! this is the perfect song for it. After that you need to check out Siyeon's cover of Speechless, it will leave you speechless. It was so tough to pick a bias in this group but to quote a subscriber from my reaction channel, I have "The Middles" (Siyeon, Handong, and Yoohyeon) as my bias line and the rest are Wreckers, because they are all talented and bring their own special talents to the table on every song. I agree that Apocalypse: Save us would be a good choice for your next Album. My favorite Album is Raid of Dreams. It has a full range of genres and every song is playlist worthy including the Intro. I have 3 playlists for Dreamcatcher, my main list, my chill list, and my Intro/Outro list. Seriously, every song of theirs that I can get off of Amazon music is in one of these 3 lists. Fairytale is currently the only song in both my main and chill list, and is currently ranked #4 of my top 5 B-sides.

@@justpat2316 My favorite song is No Dot, Maison is a special song though because that is what got DC their first win and I highly recommend watching all the behind the scenes Notes and Vlogs about it, even if you do it on your own time, you will need a box of kleenex because it is so moving, and will help "Reason" make so much more sense.

For me Save us is their weakest release to date, and Maison is the second weakest title track after Fly High. Follow Us is my favorite mini album from them, I love everything on this release.

@@nupagagyi there is more pop, but also jazz, pop-punk rock, and edm. It was definitely more experimental but also they let the girls have more control over what they wanted to do by allowing each member to do their own solo. It has been the most diverse mini album imo. I still think for me, Prequel was the weakest and I am Rock/Metal fan as well. I enjoyed Fly High for the storytelling but Wake up was definitely the best track of the album.

Every songs are always hit you right to the heart, because how well they sang, how well the arrangement, how well the production, how well the story telling... Dreamcatcher have had the same two producers since they debuted almost 7 years ago. LEEZ and Ollounder. They really feel like the 8th and 9th members of the group and have a great working relationship with Dreamcatcher. Another cool thing about Dreamcatcher's production is that the line distribution is decided by the members themselves along with the producers. Each girl sings the whole song and then they get together like a little committee to decide who sounds best where. I thought that was pretty cool. 😊

I normally dont comment but i have to... The transition (if you listen like the album back to back) between Rainy day and the outo... BOMB like you hear rainy day a rather sad song and then hear the outo... the outro feels like after rain like a new beginning the pain is washed away and now you can start over i get this feeling from the outro Also your reaction was 1000 times valid i had the same experience every song blew me away in another way!

Woooow, I couldn't quite put my finger on it but you just described that perfectly. The outro really does feel like "A new hope" or has like an "after rain" kinda feel (maybe like when the cloudy/rainy sky clears and the sun starts peeking through). The outro itself combined with it's title 'Mother Nature' also really reminded me of the Lion King movie for some reason. I love your comment.

I am not done yet with your reaction, but love every dreamcatcher content ❤ There is a special clip for fairytale with clips from their Europe tour and they did some love on its live together with their title track. So they play it with a band there. Definitely worth checking out if you liked the songs 😁 For Album recommendation, I'll just suggest my fav Album. Dystopia: Road to Utopia. But if you want to go in the correct order (it's a trilogy) then it would be dystopia Tree of Language, then Dystopia Lose Myself and then the one I mentioned above 😁 But I'll be glad whatever you choose to listen to. @@justpat2316 yes if I start from A:FU album it'll be my #1 too.. but Always feom previous album A:SU also touching, even the members themselves were singing while holding tears since it was released and performed at mini concert when they finally met inSomnia offline after covid. plus.. Polaris that was released in 2019 within RoD album, that was before Handong left the group temporary to join survival show in China.. and other members were singing in cries bcs they felt something missing (the track has Handong's part but Handong wasn't there) in their concert without Handong, and that's also touching. that's why I said, I like Rainy Day even a lot but if ranked idk if it'll be in top 3.. that's how good they are

I can say the Procuders are geniuses. to me, SOme Love is an almost impossible sound to produce, there is the base melody, but to include almost any sound you can think of and put it in the production, insane..
