bon voyage is a love letter to mother nature, and a promise that they (as in humanity) will try their best to heal nature and help it get back to a healthy state. sua said that the fluffy thing is a seed, there's a line about how we're at a crossroads and then dami, while admiting that we've been selfish and made relentless horrible mistakes summons the seed. that, along with all the butterfly motifs in the video, which represent rebirth, make me think that they're saying goodbye to bad habits and choosing to heal earth, slowly but surely by planting and nurturing the seed. they lyrics sound very bittersweet, because it's a song about grieving the planet as it once was and going on a new journey where we fix our mistakes and do better, because, at the end of the day, we can't live without mother nature. it can also be interpreted outside of the context of the trilogy, as a song about accepting grief or ending a relationship that was good and changed you as a person, but had run it's course. it feels like we're taking our mistakes and regrets about an old relationship, or the pain of grieving and using it to propel us forwad so we can grow as people. the person that's gone, either because they passed or because you agreed to part ways, helped shape you and it hurts to let them go, but it's best if you let them go and embrace a new future. bon voyage is something you say when you wish them well, and maybe will see each other again, and i interpret it as how you'll see a book that the person would like and it makes you smile, or how you show someone a spot you both used to go to, because it means a lot you you and it reminds you of good times. to me it's not necessarily a literal case of meeting later, but a situation where you take the person with you everywhere as a cherished memory, and things remind you of them because they had an impact on you. it's just such a beautiful bittersweet song about loss, growth and acceptance, and the instrumental has this powerful, yet delicate and nostalgic feeling to it that complements it perfectly. its a perfect comeback concept wise, and it was executed to perfection by the girls and the production team.

41:50 Siyeon has 3 tattoos, the 1st on the back of her kneck "paradise is where I am", 2nd one on her shoulder which is her initials in the style of a treble cleff and the 3rd one on her side which I think is her family member's years of birth in roman numerals. I'm glad you are better, and: The whole album is fire! "Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable! My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. There are still many things I don't know. For example, why are all three titles in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...) The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!

The floating pod/cell , concept wise probably represents the heart of nature/earth/seed of life. theory wise people seem to think its Siyeon because they think she sacrificed herself protecting SuA which kind of makes sense but only if you disregard alot of elements of the MV. Personally i think it represents InSomnia always being there with them, no matter what they do or where they go, like the "8th member" of the group.

I definitely think they chose the right title track, as progressive rock is so accessible compared to experimental stuff like "Demian" and intense/dark stuff like "Propose". But "Demian" is my favorite. It's just so freaking cool!

If you really want to hear more of Dami singing, do check out her duet with Siyeon, titled "Shadow". It is an OST track for a K-drama/horror show call "Dark Hole". There is two version for the song, a normal one and a slow version which both have different line distribution and vibe. For the slow version, as a fun exercise, you can try guessing who sang which line and who did which high notes and then watch a lyric music video to see if you manage to guess rightly.

Intro: From Us blends the piano intro from "Dreamcatcher - Mayday" with a sick guitar solo, played with the notes from "Minx - Shut Up". I think the intention is to clue you in that the album starts from when Minx was failing and needed to be rescued. I love BONVOYAGE. Lyrically it's the story of Dreamcatcher's own personal apocalypse, told from 3 different perspectives: 1) Pre-debut Dreamcatcher (also known as Minx), who are at their lowest point in their careers and who have to make a choice. Give up their dream or re-debut as Dreamcatcher with a completely different image and sound. (verses) 2) Post-debut Dreamcatcher, who are treating every day as their last, going full speed ahead with their new image and sound, while leaving their Minx era image behind. (chorus) 3) Current day Dreamcatcher, a blend of both Minx and Dreamcatcher, who are looking back with pride and love at both versions of themselves. (intro, pre-chorus, bridge and final chorus) ❤ We can take lessons from Dreamcatcher's story and apply it to our own climate apocalypse: Nature is dying, humanity is at a crossroad. If we make the right changes and choices now, and make sure we stick to them and never give up, then in the future humanity can become one with nature and look back at ourselves with pride and love. Demian is a popular book in South Korea about how we wear different masks in different situations, you behave differently around your parents than you do with your friends. It's no secret that on-stage and off-stage Dreamcatcher were very different images. Bonus Minx connection: The first few seconds of this song is VERY similar to a slowed down, pitched down version of the first few seconds of "Minx - Why did you come to my home?" PROPOSE is a obsessive love song, quite similar to BEcause, almost as if the Minx image took the driver seat for a moment. It feels like the moment when Dreamcatcher and Minx proposed to merge their images together. You is basically Dreamcatcher's love song to Minx and how they are now embracing and love that side of themselves. "Tried to forget you, lock you in the past, i know it's late, but now i want you" Bonus Minx connection: The synth lines and the guitar solo are mimicking vocal elements from "Minx - Like you". Lyrically these songs mirror each other, since the Minx song is about being hurt, forgetting and moving on, while the Dreamcatcher song is about healing, remembering and holding on. I wonder if there is a "Minx - Superstar Superman" reference in the instrumental for BONVOYAGE? I'm not able to hear it, but it would complete the pattern. Ollounder and co are musical geniuses. ❤

FYI the part of the fluffy thing that has been 100% confirmed is that it is a "cell". In the lyrics teaser they replaced the word 세포 in JiU's "every cell is drawn to you" with images of the cell. Based on official comments, I think it's supposed to be the spirit of nature that is there to retake the earth now that the humans have wiped themselves out. I think the key to the meaning of the video is remembering that the girls from Maison are not humans, they are like godesses that have come into the world to convince humans to save their world. It fails and then in Vision they are trying to lead an uprising, they put a shield up around the planet, but maybe this was about keeping humans in rather than trying to protect them. The only humans in this video are the black and white people at the start with the echoes of destruction from all the industrial parts only being punctured by the colours of nature. The last humans are all in that building that is then destroyed by the explosion, and then Gahyeon comes back to lift the containment field and allow nature to retake the planet.

My favorite songs for this EP have to be Propose and BonVoyage. Propose just has a very familiar structure that I love and Bonvoyage has such a nice hopeful vibe to it. I remember being a bit worried about how their sound would change after LEEZ's departure. After hearing the whole EP I realized that there was nothing to be worried about, it still sounds like Dreamcatcher but it also sounds different from what they have given us before. Really looking forward to what we get in future releases!

dreamcatcher \:D/ there's so many ways to go about interpreting the lyrics and video. usually I try to separate the two but in this case I think both can go together. by itself it appears to be a relationship between two people but in the context of the trilogy, the two sides are earth/mother nature and humanity. the visual plot in a nutshell is them coming(returning?) to earn to warn us and save the planet. there are several images of them being extraterrestrial throughout the trilogy including 7 steaking comets at the beginning of bon voyage. the first obviously imagery is that of destruction, but we also get glimpses of life albeit confined within a structure. instead of greenery and animals out in the open nature, we see it inside a building with everything outside devoid of color and life. from this you can interpret them as protecting nature from a decaying world. the shield that went up in vision also gives us a sense of protection but of the entire planet. sua chasing(to protect) what possibly is a dove also has obvious symbolism. the second imagery I noticed is recurring - the butterfly. in past mvs, it's been used to symbolize rebirth. for example I equate the butterfly in fly high as the start, the rebirth of dreamcatcher. it's also a symbol of sacrifice in order for life to proceed. that's how I view that flying furball lol, as a metaphorical seed for which the world can be reborn. members used the term cell perhaps as to refer to it as a living organism. you also get a glimpse of a flower blooming near the end. so getting back to the title bon voyage, it's usually referred to as a good journey so the overall theme imo should be positive. the fireworks at the end also should convey a celebrtory and uplifting mood. so it appears they(we) were successful in saving the planet and now we can bid them bon voyage. the last scene as them turning off the force field and potentially leaving in that shard spaceship?
