Most of Dreamcatcher's songs including Scream and Boca were written, composed and produced by Leez and Ollounder (aka Superbomb) They lay down all the music tracks and play at least some of the instruments since they are also talented musicians. They bring in other musicians as required which varies from song to song. They also do background vocals on some songs. The screaming in Scream was actually Ollounder's modified voice.

And about the story here: Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("freak behind the mask" from Scream). Boca has the line "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome!

I cannot say enough about these talented women! They are so good!! Boca is, indeed, the "to be continued" from Scream. It even starts with the same tree. They are parts 1 and 2 of the same story. Scream talks about bullying and dealing with/trying to shrug off hate and not hit back, trying to keep their "purity" so to speak. But they start to break near the end ("Please I don't want to scream" turns into "I just want to make you scream" at the last chorus). Boca sees the girls reach their breaking point and start to give in to their "dark side" and clap back at the hate (Dami talking about being the killer that will protect you. The last line of the chorus, "If your words are thorns, they hurt. I will make sure you do not open your mouth") And their next release is supposed to be the 3rd and final chapter of this story and I can't wait!

This Boca Live Band Rock Version is from their Crossroads Part 2: Dystopia Online Concert, in March 2021. This version uses extended riffs and has a more rock-ey sound: kzbin.info/www/bejne/onrcnnunh7WYj80 Boca is a Mumbathon / Rock hybrid and represents the Speak No Evil part of the Dystopia Trilogy. It tells cyberbullies, haters, people who spread false gossip to shut their boca (mouth in Spanish). The song denounces these evils, since many celebrities and idols have died in Korea as a result of cyber bulling and false rumors. Moreover, there is also a Boca Dance MV Zombie Version released in Halloween 2019. It's really fun. The mouth part refers to the zombie bite! Deja vu and Endless Night. You really need to hear those. Deja vu is very symphonic metal while Endless Night is just pure Japanese metal. Also Break the wall which is nu-metal-ish rock but it is a B-side track and there's no official video of it.

If anything, this is Dreamcatcher's version of a summer song, since it's that time of the year when the KPop industry concepts tend to be brighter and livelier. 'PIRI' is another heavy hitter, especially during the verses. 'Endless Night' from earlier this year is their heaviest track to date which is completely full of riffing. From this comeback though, Break The Wall is very much a throwback to the harder, Alternative Rock vibes of early 2000s. A lot of people were referring to bands like Breaking Benjamin, Lacuna Coil and Evanescence because of it.
