You now understand why we say that if SuA choreographs, there is always touching involved! 🤣 For "Abracadabra", the choreo was a bit toned down (was really a shock and a big controversy back in the days in Kpop) but the DC version is sharper, more cute/fun and is also slightly changed to fit the one line relay dance format (for the info, it is a bit improvized and SuA often coordinate the members for some things like the hand gestures in the background). Thanks for the reactions to these two iconic and dangerous videos! 💜

Abracadabra was definitely one of the many bops of 2009. The original MV was literally deemed too gay and too sexy to be aired. Dreamcatcher lived up to both of those qualities. They did alter the choreography a bit because it was a relay dance, but the chorus part was dead on, as was the intro.

Hydration is indeed important... All the tattoos in Taki Taki are fake but Yoohyeon does have a real one now. I believe Siyeon and Dami also have at least one too.

They do; Dami has a butterfly near her elbow to represent her dog, Ddoddo, when she passed away. Siyeon has "Paradise is where I am" on the back of her neck, and another on her left shoulder, which I think is an SY on the form of a musical note.

So a couple of things about the Abracadabra cover... - the beginning of the dance (@ 1:14 with Yoohyeon, Dami & Gahyeon) is a very famous part of this absolute banger by BEG! It’s known in kpop lore as “The Arrogant Dance” - Of all the reactions I’ve seen for this video, I don’t understand why no one ever talks about when Dami & Gahyeon kneel for their leader allowing her to use them as a throne...it should be iconic! (2:06) - 3:40 how does Yoohyeon going from being so very sexy to the cute puppy she is in a matter of a nanosecond, like how does that even work?! - and actually the original mv was banned by the SK standards board for being to sexy. Reasons given...bdsm themes, breast touching, girls kissing & touching each other. I always laugh when I imagine the ultra conservative SK standards board actually discussing those specific reasons in a meeting. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 BEG’s is something of an interesting & unusual story in kpop. Their label Nega Networks had signed JeA (she was one of the vocal coaches/judges on the first season of Produce101), a highly sought after singer, as the main vocalist & basically gave her carte blanche to add other members. The rapper Miryo was part of a rather famous underground hip hop crew in SK & as of October, 2020 she is by far the most credited female kpop lyricist....although I’m sure Soyeon will pass her in the next few years. They debuted in 2006 but really gained traction in 2009 when this song was released. This version was obviously very sexy at times but in true DC fashion they camped it up quite a bit... As for Taki Taki some comments on that already so I’ll just add that yes the tats are face but as others pointed out Yoohyeon, Siyeon & Dami (& maybe Gahyeon by now) all have real ones. It is still rather taboo but more & more female kpop artists are getting them. Aside from the others already mentioned, several second gen idols have them including both Taeyeon & Tiffany from SNSD, Hyuna, Hyolyn (ex Sistar)& Jiyeon from T ara. As for those actively promoting, Chaeyoung from Twice (has several) & from Weki Meki (& formerly I.O.I) are probably the most high profile idols that have them. The tattoo wasn't real at that time.. But now Siyeon and Yoohyeon have tattoos. Generally, K-pop idols are strictly prohibited from getting tattoos. In particular, girl groups are heavily regulated. But as you know, Dreamcatcher is always bold. Members of Brown Eyed Girls also have a tattoos.

i am pretty sure there are more tattooed idols out there... i know hwasa and wheein have tattoos and i am pretty sure soojin from idle is at least tattooed too

@@Brainreaver79 Yes there are many. But I guess the point was more about the Kpop industry which usually is quite conservative and isn't fond of tattoos even for members of boy groups. This is why in music TV shows, the tattoos are blurred or they cover them with clothes or skin colored bandaids.

Saying its "strictly prohibited" is a bit much.. Its more like they're encouraged not to do it. Rookie idols for the most part will obviously be more regulated. Idols like Wheein and Soojin have 10+ tattoos each. DC are amazing but we don't need to act like they're doing something groundbreaking every single time they do *anything*. Thats kind of a disservice to everyone else

Brown Eyed Girls are very good. As far as I am aware they are still active. The original is from 2010. Some of their videos are quite bizarre.

The tattos weren't real at the time, but now Yoohyeon has 2 tattoos and one of them almost in the same spot as this fake one, on her ribs. Siyeon has 2 (maybe 3, we could see a third one but she doesn't confirm yet) and Dami has one too.

Hi, new subscriber here! I just wanted to say I really like your deukae videos and watching you become a fellow insomnia. Your voice is very calming and your love for them feels very genuine! ☺️ On another note, Brown Eyed Girls is also one of my favorite groups. They’ve been active since 2006 and have a pretty diverse discography as well. If you ever get the time to react to their MVs, a few other good songs by them are The Sixth Sense, Sign, Kill Bill, L.O.V.E., Hotshot, and Abandoned. I hope you can someday! Have a good day!

If you watch Dreamcatcher's stage performances Jiu will make your palms sweat. Koreans have very negative feelings about tattoos because until the last 10 years or so only gang members had them. Same thing for Japan and China. Young people are becoming interested in tattoos because of Western popular culture. Up until a few months ago only a medical doctor could legally apply a tattoo. There were lots of illegal tattoo shops which were pretty much ignored by the police most of the time.

If your age doesn't start with a five you're too young. I also urge you to watch Sixth Sense. You have never experienced a high note like that one. And their two video comeback, Wonder Woman and then Abandoned. Abandoned might make you cry.
