The tree is the Tree of Language. The Dystopia trilogy is about the internet and social media, and how they are used to spread hate, lies, and propaganda which hurt and even kill people. The tree is damaged and dying because of how the internet distorts reality by changing the meaning of some words, forbidding others, and making up new words that have no real meaning, but are just used as insults (gaslighting is my favorite one of those). Boca was inspired by the deaths of a number of members of the Kpop/Kdrama industry who were driven to take their own lives through relentless online attacks. Those are the 'too many angels dying now'. When you're looking at the world through a cell phone screen, how do you know what's real and what is false? Dreamcatcher advise that you use your 'odd eye' to examine everything that comes from the internet. That is based on a Korean myth which says that people with an odd eye (for Koreans, one brown eye and one some other color) are able to see through all lies using the odd colored eye. 'Everything is plausible lie overshadowed by sweetness'. Dreamcatcher have been on the receiving end of internet hate, but since they aren't that popular in South Korea, not nearly so much as other popular groups, although it has increased in the last few years.

Thanks for checking out more Dreamcatcher! Scream is a really powerful song. I started getting into K-Pop in the middle of 2020 during Covid lock downs and after a few months of discovering new groups a song called Scream got recommended to me in my KZbin feed. The thumbnail had a girl in a black dress holding a sword and as a fantasy fan I was instantly drawn in. 4 years later and Dreamcatcher are not only my favorite K-Pop group, they're my favorite musical act, period. They're an insanely talented group of women who love what they do, their fans, and each other. The Rock instrumentals are always going to be present in Dreamcatcher's title tracks, but when you start getting into their b-sides all bets are off. They've got a bit of everything, Jazz, Reggae, Metal, Rock, Trance, Trap, EDM, Funk, Pop, and so much more. They have the most diverse discography I've ever come across. You'll see some of this in the title tracks because they're always genre bending the rock & metal elements with different genres of music. If you want to keep doing multiple songs per video you should check out these next. These two title tracks are from their two special mini albums Raid of Dream & Summer Holiday. Deja Vu - This was their comeback before Scream and is a collaboration with a mobile game called Kings Raid. BEcause - This was Dreamcatcher's take on a Summer song, which means it's extremely creepy and dark. Curse of the Spider 2024 concert version - I'm adding this one as a third song if you want. It's part of the Raid of Dream album but got an updated instrumental for their Luck Behind 7 Doors tour that started this year. The original song was a heavy mix of rock and electronic instrumentals but this new version is almost straight metal. The MV has the studio version overlaying their first concert performance of this version so it's not Live vocals but it's their performance from the concert and you already know how they sound live from the Justice performance. You pointed out how their music resembles anime, many people say it and it's because they use some Jrock influences, wich many animes incorporate. Btw, they actually did an anime opening for King's Raid, it's called Eclipse. They also released Deja Vu as a collaboration with Kings Raid (Kings raid was a videogame at that time, the anime was released later), and Deja Vu is a masterpiece♥, you should react to it.

Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point. Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy. Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song? Odd Eye is part 3 of the Dystopia trilogy. People can get lost in the world of the Internet and social media and their online personas can take over their life. Dreamcatcher want us to use our odd eye to see through the lies (on Facebook and others) and don't be fooled by the "lies masked in sweetness". I can only recommend to keep reacting to them, they are always interesting and entertaining! And the song is a banger!
