Handong's Korean is so good. You can tell she learned the language not because she had to, but because she loves it. Korean gives her so many new ways to tease the other members. She started off getting teased for her pronunciation, but now she loves teasing the other members on their pronunciation. You have to be really fluent in a language to be able to do that. This is one very smart kitten.

i'm getting annoyed by missing subtitles... they rarely upload the subtitles on time and for shorts basically never. I really dont understand, so many fans are international. put more effort in DCC Handong

It's not just Handong. She even got Chinese subs. I think they pay extra during cb time to have them right up but after that they wait a few hours. I don't think under 5 hours is bad

@@moongirl8807 I agree with @SphinxCrusader there. I LOVE Dreamcatcher but there's never any clue as to what's going on. Viviz is the same, just no subtitles. I've tried to learn Korean but I am incapable. I turned this on soon as I saw it, and now, 13 hours later, STILL no subtitles, and going back there's a load of vids not translated. For such a big group with a massive international audience, I think their company is really doing them a disservice. I don't know about any other languages though as I can't speak them, but it wouldn't be a shock to find they just aren't translating them. And Handong is my ultimate bias of any girl group, so I get really sad that she don't get the support they deserve.

@@Arryhall this is kinda dramatic, I did realize now that the subs are broken but that's a difference from not getting any. Yes they could do more but this video won't break the usual 10-20k so why care? Atp I've accepted that we'll be stuck with varying levels of promo and if only bc they have like 20 employees and a seemingly tight budget. Seeing how big groups have 3 or more languages immediately I do think it's a financial matter. I'm still hoping it's bc of a new gg, and if we get a Viviz / BADVILLAIN situation we can worry (btw Viviz just renewed for another 3 years so can't be that bad although they didn't even get a cb in 11 months and BPM clearly gives all the money to BV). DCC subs important things like mv and related bts immediately, after our feedback. So I think they are comfortable enough here to not do it immediately. I can wait a few hours, most fans aren't on Korean time anyway or have to work. Maybe the translator is too. And yes, there is a translation. It has been broken before or taken days, but I've never seen a new video not translated. The only videos never translated are holiday greetings, and as you mentioned a few old ones when they started out. The first few years the translations were done by fans. I even wanna go as far as saying DC was one of the first bc of their large international fandom. So the company has actually only started this a few years ago. There's also no reason to sub the backlog, not for the few hundred views added every year.

Well, the subtitles did appear and I was about 99.9% wrong in what I thought Dongie was saying! 😁 I did get hello right and dreamcatcher so I'm improving. It's mainly my frustration at just not knowing what's going on a lot of the time plus the cultural differences that I never seem to get. There's this thing about food and eating that's really prevalent that I don't get culturally and also the fighting thing. It's fascinating but having to rely on an interpretation of words AND meaning is difficult. Watching old DC vids whether it's a vlog or something else, there's a massive chance I won't get what's happening. Viviz isn't as globally known as dreamcatcher so I can sort of get the reason a lot of their content isn't subd but DC has a large international following much like Babymetal though I also can't speak Japanese. Doesn't stop me adoring the music of groups when I have no idea what they are singing about.

@@Arryhall Oh I totally get wanting to understand it. I finally want to get into Korean but apart from a simple context I won't understand a word. I also agree that our fandom needs the subs more than others. I just stopped asking myself why the company isn't as fast or doing this or that, bc as long as the members are happy it shouldn't matter. But every once in a while, it breaks out of me too. Not for subs though or other things that are also probably due to lack of money, but other things. Things that I can't figure out like why the members don't seem to wanna push more solo endeavours and producing. No b-side promo unless we beg for a special clip (I hope they promote 2 Rings at least with a dance video). Or delays, like why is the Lightstick ver.1 sold out whilst ver.2 is nowhere to be found after 9 months? Why was there seemingly no other attempt at the English album and why wasn't the cancelation communicated in the first place? And in the end it all comes down to: why do they have no big investors? You can't tell me they're too ethical. Are the other companies just watching DCC in it's struggle to produce a successor for years now whilst treading water with the underdog gg, until they just give up or can be bought for cheap by someone like Hybe? Anyway this is probably a bit dramatic too but I just wanna know what is happening. DCC is small enough to not have to show anything to investors or the public, but even their gg projects seem to be top secret nowadays. They didn't even held public auditions. And the staff numbers, whilst being reasonable, are more of a meme and not really easily confirmable by an international fan. It's probably better for the safety of the company and after failed attempts and knowing InSomnias twitter rage they only wanna announce airtight things (although it really is a curse - Lightstick ver.2, multiple festivals, English album... all announced and nowhere to be seen). My point probably is: I'm not really better than people complaining about late subs, it's just that they always go up one day. At least for Viviz, despite all the stupid decisions, most can be explained by the company banking entirely on their new star, BV. For DCC, we don't know anything, and I think this annoyance is the one thing that manifests in variuos ways for each InSomnia. As for the old videos, maybe I can help you. 7dreamsub or some similar Channel (they created a new one at some point) uploaded some of them. Besides that, you can search for the videos with subs and at least some should pop up. I think even most of Minx got reuploaded by fans.
