You should check out their live performance of the Inside-Outside intro + You and I on Dream Concert 2018. They literally summoned the rain (it was outdoors) and it made the performance 100x better. There are a few performances where they included the intros but this was the most memorable one. The drummer and bassist have individual KZbin channels where they do other covers. I wish DC would do another collab with InSomnia musicians, but they have done concerts with a live band. And they're so good! Dami wrote Scar (she has the most writing credits of the members) and as far as I know, it's the only song besides their Japanese releases that has never been performed live, which is why there's always a discrepancy of who did the high rap parts after the chorus. So it's not gonna be 500 words, but just a few. I attended their concert in Warsaw. They performed songs from many of their releases and I just like them all very much (duh !), but "You and I" ? I don't know what to say beside that I was so happy to sing this song with them, like I was so thrilled about the whole thing. Please go to their concert when you'll have a chance, it's such a great celebration of music and also kindness (not only in context of Dreamcatcher loving their fans and vice versa, but also Insomnia welcoming other music fans to enjoy Dreamcatcher and their staff). Mayday is among my top ten Dreamcatcher songs. The special clip was the first time they performed with a live band and when I saw it I wanted more. With the exception of two appearances on Immortal Songs, it was two years before there was more with the Seven Spirits online concert, but well worth the wait. You don't get the full Dreamcatcher experience without a live band and, unlike with most Kpop groups, there is no band that can overpower them.

For me my favorite would be scar, I love that song and its a crime they never performed it live! I feel like the translations you had were a little off, but the lyrics (as others already mentioned written by Dami) are very poetic (and dark if you ask me). Its a perfect display of their rock side, their dark side (while it sounds very uplifting) and their vocal/rapping ability. One other thing I would also like to correct is that the rappy part after the first chorus and at the end is actually Gahyeon. It was the first song in which she got a rap part and it was before Dami and twice which is believed to be intentional (Dami first allowing gahyeon to shine before rapping herself). That You & I vocal relay is definitely a taste of the chaos that is in their dance relays. There are a few encore performances from some of their online concerts that have this type of energy and it's great. The musicians in the May Day clip were Insomnia who had entered or competed as a way to perform with them. I think this was done as part of the initial rollout for the fandom name and Fan club. Scar is such an interesting song. I think you're right about the internal struggle which fits with the themes in the Nightmare series and works as a follow up to the events in You & I. I wish this song had more promotion, especially since Dami wrote this one.

If a song could capture what a hug sounds like, it would be Which a Star. Whenever I listen to it, it feels like I'm being hugged by DC and it's the best feeling ever. And I agree with another comment that their radio performance is worth a watch not only for the chaos but you get to see and hear Siyeon flex those vocal ad libs in all its glory. The drummer in Mayday has YT channel called Boogie Drum. He covered some of dreamcatcher songs, unfortunately after Deja Vu directly to BOCA and I didn't find any other dreamcatcher songs ever since.. I like the vocal harmonies in Which A Star but that probably my least fav in the album. Also before 2019 Handong didn't really get proper lines (also Gahyeon) so for some people might have strong subjective preference.. Idk if the chosen which a star lyric video kinda mistranslated a bit or just fitting the context. Byeol means star, thus eoneu byeol translated to which a star as title, but yeogin eoneu byeol got translated as what planet I am on.. Yeogin is a shorter word from yeogi neun, yeogi means here, and byeol still means star. I don't find any relation from star to planet both astronomically or from literation but they made it like that

From this album obviously i love all the songs, but if i had to choose i would go for You and I because of the outfits, the vocals, the guitars, and the incredible live performances with the little flags and Dami with the stick (You missed the occasion to react to a live performance, i encourage you to do it because i want to see your reaction to it T___T) They perfomed it also in their last Tour in Europe and to see it live was incredible.
