I got curious after was reading comments here so i decided to check out the rookie girl group that appears to be overshadowing DC in music shows ranking. Turns out that this group is buying KZbin MV views by putting them as compulsory ads on other Kpop MV which can't be skipped. No wonder their high MV views does not have match their music shows low views & the views-likes-comments ratio on the MV was just too suspicious. That got me thinking, then what is the point of me streaming DC MV? Jeez....

You are right. In fact, their MV even surpassed Loona's 'Hi High', Oh My Girl 'Remember Me' & WJSN 'Save Me, Save you' MV, and all of Dreamcatchers' MV views put together. In a few days time, their MV views is going to surpass even G-idle's 'Hann'. How they gain attention by buying KZbin views, is not up to us. Morals & ethics can be ignored if their goal is to gain attention at all costs. Even LABOUM won on Music Bank, by buying their own albums. I can accept unfair competition, but my dilemma remains: what is the point of me voting & streaming for Dreamcatcher? I am doing my best to help DC get their 1st win, yet I already know DC will surely lose, cause the other competitor will simply buy views (those purchased KZbin views will becomes music show ranking points too). Perhaps, HappyFace Ent can consider buying KZbin views for DC too? Cause for now, it seems to be the only way to keep the competition fair. Or else DC will get 3rd place for THE SHOW again next week, or not even get nominated.

Just FYI, buying ads on yt isn't considered to be the same as buying views, but more like promo which is totally normal. Sure their view surge is weird (and while I love the group, specially adorable Miya, it's quite fishy) but it's not the ads as they are put by KZbin on different videos for different viewers (I actually never got their ad before) depending on your view and search history and the video can be skipped after 5 sec so it's unlikely that the view surge is due to ads on KZbin but something else. Either they went viral in some place (possibly Japan as a lot of the comments are in Japanese due to Miya being a bit famous from her vixx cover group activities) or they are buying views illegally which can land them in hot water (which I really don't want as they're growing on me). I personally don't stream as I am busy with uni and even after years of following kpop, I still don't really see the point so I only watch the mv when I want to. Instead if you can, buy their album, support their Japanese debut and go to their concert if they come near you and you can afford it. They're slowly getting there so don't give up and don't make it a chore for yourself, just sit back and enjoy, that's what they would want you to do.
