Yeaaaah Dreamcatcher! And it's kind of a nice comparison to Evanescence. Dreamcatcher usually has rock elements in their title tracks. "Scream" is part of a trilogy. Then you have "Boca" (which means mouth in Spanish and Portuguese) and it ends with "Odd Eye". Storywise the tree you see in the MV is the tree of language. It bears fruits which grow from words all around the world but there are more and more bad words spoken which make the fruits rotten and the tree wither. The seven members of Dreamcatcher (here only 6 as one member didn't participate in both "Scream" and "Boca") are the tree keepers and they witnessed the tree dying in this first part. Lyric wise, the Dystopia trilogy is about the cyber-bullying and the dangers with social media. Thanks for the reaction! Looking forward to next one!

Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip your spine out when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme.

dreamcatcher \:D/ scream is part 1 of their dystopia trilogy which is a criticism of social media. boca is part 2 and odd eye is part 3. since the period is pre-technology, the tree is used to symbolize the internet - you can see writings on its inner walls and the roots are portals. the masks represent faceless individuals online. there's too much imagery to go through. the lyrics address internet hate. dreamcatcher's music encompasses all genres and uses a lot of rock/metal influences which is very rare in kpop.
