Ocean in a Bottle DIY

This miniature bottle charm is based off a children's science experiment that creates an ocean in a bottle just by using oil and water. When you turn the bottle side to side the oil and water create the effect of a wave.
This DIY is super fun and easy to create. With minim,al materials you can recreate this simple experiment and create a cute charm in one!

Materials
- Bottle
- Oil
- Blue food dye
- Water
Steps
1. Fill the bottle one third of the way with water. This step is easiest when using a funnel, especially if you are using a miniature bottle. Add a small drop of blue food dye. The water component of the bottle is meant to simulate the ocean.
2. Fill the remaining space of the bottle with oil (two thirds).
3. Glue on the cork with a strong glue to ensure it remains. That's it, you now have an ocean in a bottle! To make the ocean come to life just shake the bottle!

You don't have one of these in your area because they are family owned in our city but I got mine at a store called best 99 it's a 99cent store and they have tons of good bottles of all sizes But what I just did was completely useless unless you live in the same area as me and what are the chances you do so I'd say ya just go with the craft stores like hobby lobby and Michael's or online like Amazon or eBay
