As a long time follower (10+ years) and someone who works in theatre, film and makeup, this is one of the best series to come along in a while on any platform. Truely a favourite and a joy to watch. Thank you so much x

I love how you've replicated the Dream Girls makeup here and included Elizabeth Taylor as a reference. As someone who also has slightly assymetrical eyes, I always appreciate how you describe what you're doing when you adjust your eye makeup application to make things more symmetrical. I would love to see your interpretation of the smudgy eyeliner/freckles/red lip on Eva Green (Vesper Lynd) from Casino Royale!

Love it! Such a glamorous look, so fitting of that era. This might seem cliche, but maybe BBC's Pride and Prejudice makeup look next? Particularly Elizabeth's flushed look 😍

Sam, I LOVE this series. Thank you for doing it. I have a movie that I think you would love replicating. It's a little underrated 90s gem called DREAM LOVER, starring James Spader and Madchen Amick. Madchen's makeup is so 90s-the velvety matte skin, precise eyeliner, and muted lips. Also, the thick "chunky" hair complements the makeup. I'm not sure this type of movie is your cup of tea, but I adored the makeup from that film.

As a long time fan who's not on YT much these days, this has been the highlight of my feed ! I feel the nostalgia of being 14 again and escaping / getting lost into your videos and I am so appreciative to have MUAs like you and your sister to really explain not just makeup but the backstories that make these looks alive. I'm sure I'll enjoy the next look just as much as i did the previous ones. Please keep'em coming, much love

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the makeup of this era, the Diana Ross and Supremes slay. I grew up during this era. We all loved Diana Ross's makeup of the 70s although we wore less makeup because simply didn't have the skin tones for most of us. We became makeup chemists mixing and matching shades. It was so much fun!

Diana Ross surprised Beyonce last summer for her birthday and came out to give her a tribute during the Renaissance concert. It was so cute and special and the way Beyonce RUNS down that catwalk to hug Diana Ross it’s one diva loving another diva. Beyonce always maintains her presence of mind when she is around her predecessors and that’s what makes her THAT GIRL!
