A young countess and a dishwasher from a canteen see the same nightmare: they dream of an incredible, absurd country in which the viewer, of course, recognizes his homeland. It seems that it is impossible to get rid of this nonsense. But the heroes of the film find an unexpected simple solution...

Удивительно, являюсь почитателем Карена Шахназарова и все 80-е, 90-е прошли перед моими глазами но этот фильм вижу в первые. Мучительно что то напоминает из школьной программы 1-сон Анны Павловны, 2-сон Анны Павловны, уж и не помню откуда это.

thoughtful satire made in 1993. interesting that now in 2023, 30 years after, russia is different from 1993, as 1993 was different from 1893. to take easily verifiable examples; arbat street now ( there are walking videos of it on youtube) is wonderful, compared to what it was in 1993. and as they perhaps exaggeratedly( though not by much) claim in movie, in 1993 russia needed "credit" from eu to import grain, now russia is the largest grain exporter in the world.
