To sum it up: Five elders, hightest authority in world government are worried about the balance of the 3 great powers. They want a replacement for Crocodile. So they invited the seven warlords of the seas of wich only three appeared. Mihawk, Doflamingo and Bartholomew Kuma. Remember we havent seen 3 of them yet. Them not attending shows already a little insight in their view on orders and government. Fleet Admiral Senghok and Vice Admiral Tsuru joined the marines the same time as Garp. Shanks sent a letter to Whitebeard (via a newcomer "roockie", Rockstar who is worth 90 million) about Ace hunting Blackbeard. But the strongest man in the world wants Shanks to come in person and bring some top alcohol. The five elders and marines are afrait of Red hair and Whitebeard meeting.. Final reveal is Blackbeard, who was the pie guy all along but he is unnoticed and has no bounty! Big reason for that later on.. He sent one of his guys to the meeting in Mary Geoise to appoint him Warlord of the sea in replacement for Crocodile. His man, Laffite tells the authorities to give him some time to prove/ make a name for himself. Meanwhile the strawhats are out of there up into the sky! ❤✌

This is probably the most dense lore episode in all of One Piece. Dont worry if it doesnt all click at once. But it's mainly about the upsetting power of the World Order since Crocodile (a warlord) was killed. Shanks wants to meet Whitebeard "for some reason". This also frightens the World Government. One of Blackbeard's crew memebers crashed the meeting to recommend Blackbeard as replacement. They say he is currently a no name. They say "dont worry we have a plan ;)" And as said in Alabasta Ace is hunting Blackbeard. Phew. A huuuge chess board of interactions have been played!

So theres a slight translation mistake if i recall correctly : blackbeard doesnt say "i didnt think he was worth 30 millions" but instead "i knew he was worth more than 30 millions" meaning the first time he was surprised at luffy's bounty, he was surprised that it was that low!

Just as a note, the word for "beard" and "moustache" in japanese is actually the same word for "facial hair", so the reason "Whitebeard" doesn't appear to actually have a "beard" is because to Japanese people, the words mean the same thing. So to us english speakers, it's confusing that "whitebeard" doesn't actually have a beard, but in Japanese, his name still makes sense because moustache is the same thing.

Man I remember this moment happening when I was a kid. I thought it was so cool how they did the slow intro of the Blackbeard pirates, by revealing them early then introducing them late. The way Oda makes you feel confused because at first Luffy and Blackbeard are complete opposites and seem to despise each-other, then Blackbeard shows some goodwill towards Luffy which makes you feel he may not be all bad, but then you get the introduction of the Blackbeard pirates and you realize these guys are big deal.

You should had already knew that the luffy’s bounty is 100kk, since they raised up (and shown to us) at alabasta , after crocodile fall. Anyway that knowledge from the watcher (us) should play a huge emotive role during the beef between Bellamy and luffy, because all the time Bellamy acted big with luffy because he thought to have an higher bounty, but since we already know that luffy has the double of him bounty, we reader/watcher emphasise our willing of seeing Bellamy beated up by luffy

So much going on, and that's on top of the most satisfying single punch so far!

This may sound "weird" but the Episodes have different intensities in the same way a song has. Intro, verse, pre-chorus, etc. You need to have parts that are more mellow and some that are more intense otherwise. The previous episodes lead up to Luffy punching Bellamy, which I interpret as Verse->Chorus. Anyway, great content I'm loving that you like One Piece as much as the fandom. PS: Don't skip the G-8 filler arc, it's hilarious and for some of us is canon in our hearts.

Watch 151 again without reaction and have every single piece of info sink in because it's the most important episode you encountered so far, and one of the most important in general You must start to enter in the moving cogs of One Piece world For example I think you missed that Shanks has no fear of Whitebeard, which means he's more or less in the same league, just when he faced Mihawk and it's hinted that he was on par with Mihawk in swordplay when Shanks still had both arms There are lots of small hints that you must figure out

These episodes have so much lore put in that if you lose focus and talk to each other, you may miss out on some important information. I would suggest you watch these episodes once more offline to understand the situations and what is being set up here. This is especially the case with the reason Shanks is going to meet Whitebeard, and why the Marines are afraid of this meeting. Also understand the small nuances of the Blackbeard crew. Did you notice whatever Luffy liked, Teach hated (like the pies) and vice versa. They were also seen walking in opposite directions. Blackbeard is especially important to understand who he is and why he is saying what he says. Why did he say that a person's dream never ends? Is he agreeing with Luffy? Does that mean he is on Luffy's side? Why is Ace after Blackbeard? If so, is he on Aces side? So which is he? Also did you notice his name is Marshall "D" Teach? Who else has this initial? What did both Kureha and Nico Robin say about this middle initial? These details are quite crucial to the rest of the lore so I would rewatch these episodes to understand the symbolism that Oda is writing as they foreshadow a lot about the world. He is feeding you clues if you are willing to sit down and think about what he is trying to hint. JMO.

It's okay One Piece may be Peak Fiction. But that doesnt mean that every moment in One Piece is Peak. Some times it takes some time to build up to a crescendo, but when the climax hit it really delivers. If you got an arc that aint as amazing as another one. Know that its Oda lowering your expectations, before he later out does them in a uppcoming arc. For instance Drum Island with Chopper, you have a not so Great Villean in King Wapol. Only to get Alabasta after it with Mr.0 = Crocodile. One of the best villeans and arc's of One Piece (in my opinion). You don't have to enjoy every moment, but just know that you will be paid back in full in the future of the story. know you are ahead on patreon, but Skypiea is my favorite arc it's so magical. And personally Luffy One Shoting Bellamy is my favorite 1 hit KO in One Piece, but many fans out there will disagree. I see Jaya and Skypiea as a whole and Good Luck on your future Adventure Devan Fam 🌞🌅😎

Many things happen in this episode, we are introduced to Luffy's latest bounty of 100 thousand berries and Zoro 60 thousand berries. and introduced to government elders whose mandate exceeded the navy. who was worried about meeting Whitebeard's white beard meeting Shaks Akagami's red hair. and we are introduced to high-ranking naval leaders and several warlords or Shicibukai whose strength is equivalent to Mihawk discussing the defeat of crocodile and the Shicibukai bench is less than 1. There is a lot to take in with the second half of the episode. You see the world gov’t and how they view Luffy as a threat. The fleet admiral of the Marines Sengoku. The legendary Whitebeard. 2 of the remaining Warlords are revealed - Kuma and Doflamingo. Blackbeard’s crew is revealed and his goal to be the replacement for Crocodile as the 7th warlord. Oh and the rare Shanks sighting as he goes to meet Whitebeard. It is honestly unreal how much story is going to be told that is introduced in that half of an episode.

You shoudl remember because it was the first time zoro get a bounty. the bounty were discuss between vivi the king and other member in the palace. They wanted to inform the staw hats about them but they already left the palace. Yep there are lots of slow burn moments in the anime because most of the story is buildup and you will be repaid kindly every after an arc where bangers after bangers are thrown at you and only when you look back that it will become significant and only after a rewatch will you realize just what important moments just happened within those 'boring' slow burn episodes xD Don't worry much about it, we know that feeling ;)))

So here's what happen Luffy and Crew's current goal is to go to Sky Island because of their Logpose , but what happened between these episodes is entirely different story but still connected to Main Characters (LUFFY) which more to a political issues such as finding Crocodile's Successor to regain Power Balance and The Movement of Shanks and Whitebeard which worries the Government Luffy's victory against crocodile disturb the world's order which ripples through the entire arcs Another Notes (Recap) , Blackbeard came to Drum Island ((Chopper's hometown)) and destroyed the kingdom while Wapol the King of Drum Island ran away abandoning the country which pissed Vivi and Daldton off , then later in Alabasta , Ace told Straw-Hats that his true purpose in Alabasta was to find Blackbeard because Blackbeard killed one of his men and rumors told that Blackbeard were seen in Alabasta which he is not .. also , Blackbeard was one of Ace's men

GENIAL REACCIÓN como siempre, chicos 🤗🤗y me alegra que ya hayan podido conocer a SHIROHIGE (BARBABLANCA) y a KUROHIGE (BARBANEGRA), y sí, muchas de las cosas que se ven hoy en día, serán importantes mucho más adelante, por eso es necesario ver más de una vez los capítulos para poner atención a los detalles, pero en fin. En cuanto a los capítulos que se sienten como relleno, será mejor que vayan acostumbrándose a ellos, ya que cuando Luffy y sus nakamas lleguen a la "Isla del cielo", realmente serán capitulos bastante pesados y de un ritmo lento, pero de todas maneras es necesario porque, como dije antes, varias cosas serán importantes en el futuro (aunque pasen más de 100 capítulos jejejeje). In Japanese Blackbeard says "あの覇気で3000万はねぇと思ったが/ano HAKI de 3000man wa ne to omottaga ” translations goes as "Hundred million... I thought 30 million was odd for a kid with such amount of haki, but to think he'd be this high .." Remember when Luffy claimed that his bounty was 30 mil at the bar scene ? back then ,Blackbeard responded " You're lying " . So blackbeard saw right through that there was something off with Luffy's bounty . technically not a spoiler but this is the first time Oda introduces the term "Haki", which later on english translators start to use as well
