OH MY GOSH NOSTALGIA. I used to listen to this all the time when I was younger. Reading, browsing Deviant Art, just relaxing, I listened to this SO MUCH. It's still my favorite version, but I'm not obsessed with it like I used to be.

Sonic songs in general are already beautiful and nostalgic on their own, but this piece, in particular, always holds a special place in my heart. I feel a much stronger connection towards it, both emotionally and quite possibly, spiritually as well. It's simply inexplicable to describe this kind of feeling, it's just so genuine and soothing, but also hopeful and vitalizing. Arguably one of the best songs this entire franchise has to offer.

To me this song would work as a theme for Blaze if she was to return from her sacrifice in 06. Giving Silver a new and fresh start after the game ends. I don't know how it could be done, but during the transition from the Chorus to The Bridge would be the perfect place to play a cutscene showing everything I had explained. It has that nice pause to it to show us the same Silver who is still hurt and right after Blaze just walks behind him and comforts him and then the music slowly starts to pick up again. That's what I get out of this at least. I only wish I heard this cover sooner.
