I just hope Dreams pushes epic and unity to focus more heavily on accessibility and visual programming. Dreams is hands down the best creative software ever made but as you say, it costs money and you cannot make money in the same way you can with other tools (you have to get media molecule to hire you).

The problem is that with ease of access comes less flexibility. It's like this with any program. For example I have used blender a lot, the program has a very steep learning curve and it takes a long time to completely figure out the program but without all of the complexity you would he much more limited. It's like if you chose do draw with a couple of crayons instead of using a set of colored pencils

There's a reason why Playstation 4 is currently the most sold console in this generation. Sony may be greedy scumbags, but they still have some of the greatest exclusives of any platform. Bloodborne, Uncharted, Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Little Big Planet, and now Dreams.

I've had this game for about a week and I am still just barely scratching the surface and working my way through the many MANY tutorials. I am anticipating being able to sculpt, animate, program, and play as some of my own characters. I can definitely see this having big potential- creating a youtube-like space where programmers, animators, musicians, level designers, story writers, etc can all share their talents to allow anyone to easily create indie games. And the kicker is that it is only about $50. The included feature length game "Art's dream" is worth that price alone.

Its a ps4 exclusive, and even then no one seems to know about it. I think they should port it to PC as well. because there are A LOT of modders on pc who would VERY much be interested in using this to make games. it could SERIOUSLY help gaming! i Hope it takes off well on console, but as i said i think making a PC version will be beneficial to this game.

Dreams is amazing yes. But I feel like it being just a create and play community levels type of game kind of caused the downfall of the hype. I say this with no harm but I really feel little big planet was and will always be the prize child in the mm game gallery, and that being the case it can be pretty hard to make a game that lives up to the standard they had already set for themselves. Little big planet is so much more than just create and play! there's the amazing story which absolutely captivates the youthful imaginative part of the mind, the ability to meet friends and make experiences and even the COMMUNITY that still thrives to this day online. It will always be a cherished memory as one of the first games I ever played and I'm just hoping mm doesn't forget about the franchise that got them where they are today..
