Great video mate ... and greetings from Australia! I bought my iMap tuner a few years ago when Dreamscience were having a Christmas sale, I ended up getting it for nearly half price ... ripper value. I've been running MOD-C for the last 2 years with all the bolt on hardware and absolutely love the tune. Would be really good if you were to do individual reviews if the different tunes on your car. And even better if you could get dyno runs of the tunes you review.

I use one of these. Great things, got mine for £400 with all 5 lives on from someone who bought it but sold their car before using so got a good deal there. ive used alot of the maps. I first tried the performance+ which i didnt find any different from stock and was dissapointed but then i tried race+ and what a massive difference that made haha was well happy. Now I've got stage 2 intercooler, ramair induction, Turbo smart recirc, Decat, rs plugs, and a good set of michelin pilot sport 4 tyres and im running the modx and its a completely different car.

Welcome to the club man....haha Do you have a problem with your actuator then? I ran mod x on a standard actuator for ages before going on to mod xrs. Getting my spring changed to a purple one next month to get the full effect...looking forward to that😎

Thank you very much mate, really appreciate it! You won’t know your actuator needs removing unless you turbo isn’t boosting properly. Your boost gauge will help you with that one. And check out Dreamscience’s website mate, hopefully they ship world wide! I’ve not yet replaced my actuator 👌🏼

ok so I bought one of these for the S550 Mustang GT - it was easy to use and the customer service was great- however the remap /tune was not nice- the gears changes were horrible and it kept either going into 1st gear or making the brakes really push on when coming to a stop every time. Especially in sport mode when down shifting the gears are no where near as nice- I found it undriveable with the braking / gear change when braking every time- I've now reverted back to stock and it feels so much better - feel for £400 on sale from £500 I would have rather gone for a dyno remap that would be better - the plug and play really doesn't work for Mustang GT's. I will sell it now on eBay and try to recoup some money- having done superchargers / Cam & Headers on my other muscle car I do know my stuff - I just wanted an easy tune for my daily.

To be honest with you mate I’m not 100% sure! I expect the person who came to you would have done some data reading first of your car, and possibly adapt the tune slightly to suit your car. That’s a possibility 👌🏼

Im going to be honest with you mate, this was the reason I got head gasket/liner issues. I did not have the block mod done, but I sold the car not long after due to serious symptoms. I really appreciate the feed back mate. However I would no longer recommend this product.

@@AutoBay you can’t blame the product if you didn’t put the preparation in. It’s clearly a very common need when you’re pushing your car to those powers? You can’t then blame the map

@@roycropperthetopshottamore2666 completely agree with you mate, however each map will be different for each car. I will never go generic map again. Always custom at a tuner on the dyno. All engine temps, intake temps, gas exchange boost pressures will vary on car to car, even if they have the same mods. Therefore a tune should be unique to each car, while monitoring live data on the rollers. This box is completely “off the shelf” and was designed on an ST. But not my ST, nor the next persons. Therefore this can cause different side effects on each car. I now own a 400BHP RS3 which was done on the dyno, mapping took 5 hours rather than 5 minutes, that’s when you really notice the difference in good tuning 👍🏼

@@AutoBay yeah I agree with you on that to some extent it depends where you go. I went to a custom tuner with a dyno and he had me running 405 bhp 500nm on my golf R and the car felt like it was going to break when ever I booted it and then I took it to rtech and they put it to 398bhp and 495nm and it’s an absolute weapon. I have a stage focus 225 running 320 bhp to that is with dream science and to be fair it’s a weapon I couldn’t fault it, first and second is abit to much like but it’s a front wheel drive car so it’s to be expected but in 3rd it keeps up with my golf all day. Who’s your Audi mapped by now then?

Can i load the dreamscience software on a St225 ecu if i already have an existing tune from another tuner.Will it override the existing tune.Is it as simple as plugging in the dreamscience imap device and upload the software. Thanks

Hi there mate, yes it will override any previous tunes that are on the ECU. Simply plug it I and select when tune you want to flash onto the ECU. You can change or convert back to stock at any time

Highly unlikely mate for me personally, I’m not too fussed about the artificial pops and bangs, having a section 18 turbo back system is loud enough and compliments the natural bangs brilliantly. Also I have a sports cat, so it would destroy the platinum inside 😅.

Completely depends on what hardware you’re running. The map that is best is the map your car is ready for. Theoretically ModX RS is “the best” as it’s getting the most out of your car in terms of power and performance, but it won’t be the best u less you’ve got the mods to run it 👌🏼
