I remember the first time my ears heard a foreign song called 'pull me under', for some reason I wanted to hear a new song from start to finish, without skipping, and I remember that because of your voice, Mr. LaBrie. This is probably my favorite song off the whole album, and this live performance is absolutely incredibly. James kills it on the vocals!!! Where the songs starts versus where it ends is such a journey, which is classic for Dream Theater. I especially love that the main connecting thread between the proggy/heavy first half and the more melodic second half is the chorus, which changes to be so much more emotional in the second half, especially with the soaring guitar behind it. It feels like the first few choruses are setting up and establishing the theme for when the epic finale kicks in!!!

Mangini took Dream Theater on level up to be in this 'Rush' territory with his v unique drumming, with Portnoy , they will be back to the same typical level which is great too, but definitely, less creative and more predictable but in a good way because not every 'predictable' is bad , I wish they Kept both drummers like what King Crimson did with Gavin and Pat

I remember first seeing DT at a famous club in Baltimore called Hammerjacks back during the Images and Words tour. (93?) I was one foot from the stage, directly in front of John. In awe the whole time. I still act like that whenever I see him play.

"Maculate, there is no cure" is such a tough ass line. I love Dream Theater!
