Lovly Wondering why this maschine needs an lcd screen (green board in front of the big wheel)
@thecrankjonkie23916 ай бұрын
The green is from exterior lighting. I think one of the city’s Christmas lights on the street. The music roll is white otherwise ! 🙂

@@Veso266 ohhh now I understand - That is an LCD screen you see. My particular organ has had a midi system added. So I can play music rolls. And then I can also play midi files via a midi system either using this LCD screen. Or by Bluetooth with my iPad This system is instead of using a paper roll but you still need to crank to generate air for the pipes

@@thecrankjonkie2391 hmm midi on this Would love to see how this works, although its a bit strange such a machine would even need midi It can already play automaticly a song that is on a paper medium

@@Veso266 there’s plenty of videos on my channel that show me playing from the midi system. 🙂. I do intend to make a how it works video for my organ for both the paper rolls and the midi system. The midi system is merely a way to send signals to the organ. Just as the paper rolls do. Both the paper rolls and the midi system carry different advantages. The music rolls carry authentic and playing without the use of any electronics and also you can really control very well how the music is played by how you crank it since the crank is directly linked to the movement of the paper roll and it’s nice to see the music roll going across The advantage of the midi system is the ability to carry a lot of music at one time as everything fits to a small Sd card or on a device like an iPad Easily searching for music which means I can run request shows / play on demand. I also arrange music for the organ. And so the midi system is useful in the testing process to check everything is nice before getting it printed on music roll

The correct title is "Kuss Mich, Halt Mich, Liebe Mich" (Kiss Me, Hold Me, Love Me), a big hit for the German singer Ella Endlich, this is shown on German TV every Christmas and the song always enters the charts again.

I followed the title given on the music roll from Raffin. One of the new rolls I just bought 🙂. But yes thank you for this too. I have heard them singing along to it and using these lyrics within Am I correct in thinking this isn’t actually a Christmas song though? As then I can play it whenever I like! Also on the roll is you raise me up. And the last Christmas of course that last song is very much seasonal !

It's not a Christmas song as such but the animated film that it's the title song for is shown every Christmas on German TV so it's always associated with Christmas and get's released again every year.@@thecrankjonkie2391

No, it isn't. The original is from Czechoslovakian-German film "Tři oříšky pro Popelku" (Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel/Three Wishes ["nuts" in original title] for Cinderella) from 1973, composed by Karel Svoboda. It is considered christmas film and runs on TV every christmas here in Czechia, Germany and elsewhere in Europe. The plot doesn't revolve around christmas, It's just set in winter.
