Thanks doc. I've had toe nail fungus for probably forty years now, but with my T2 diabetes and obesity, toe nail fungus totally fell off my radar as far as things to fix. A couple of years ago, following your teachings, I totally eliminated sugar and high glycemic carbs from my diet, started fasting and exercising. I gave up Metformin and glimepiride and my A1c came down from 12.5 to 5.5, and lost about forty pounds. And now that you've put this video out, I just now looked at my toes, and SURPRISE, my toenails look much better than they have in many years. Autophagy is a true miracle! For years I had toenail fungus and walking became painful. Went to a doctor and he prescribed Lamisil. The toe fungus took a while, but my dandruff was immediately GONE. Also everything living on my skin, beneficial or not, gone. I imagine this was going on inside my body too. But the psychological effects were very strange. There was "me", then there was a second or an extension of "me" off to the left about 8" and that feeling kept increasing. Finally, I stopped taking the medicine a 2 weeks early because I felt I was losing touch with reality. After stopping, I found I had to carefully monitor the re-population of my skin with the various bacteria, etc. Some were benign, some were malevolent. The toe fungus was gone and never returned. I also managed to keep dandruff away. This was all about 25 years ago.

Something I never hear mentioned is the fact that sock and shoe design is a big factor in giving the fungus a perfect enviroment. I developed toe fungus at the age of 30. I had no dietary change, was a gym rat my entire life. I am 65. I lived off salads and meat, drank no soda, ate no candy nor sugar cereals etc. The big thing I noticed was the material and construction of footwear. Socls are now basicly plastic/polyester, shoes are vinyl or perhaps leather but very poorly ventilated. Finding cotton or wool socks is almost impossible and my feet are wet all the time in a dark enviroment. I wear sandals and no socks and this does help. but eventually I have to wear shoes and the problem reasserts itself. I have ordered 80% cotton socks and remove shoes and socks immediatly when I get home. Thanks for the video, I will continue to explore methods to relieve this problem as it's painfully obvious that the medical and big pharma industry is more interested in keeping chronic epidemics such as this going so they can fill their pockets with expensive treatments and potions that don't work, or cause worse issues.
@uuzoo8 күн бұрын
I agree with you completely. Last summer, I developed a mild case of toenail fungus on one toe. Actually, you can barely see it. But I got it from wearing steel-toe leather work boots. My feet were sweaty. We had a hot and humid summer. The fungus is going away. I put certain oils on it, like tea tree, oregano, sandalwood, and even Vicks vaper rub. I also got a new pair of work boots and new cotton socks lined with copper. I'm going to get another better pair of boots with better ventilation. I'm glad you brought this up. Most people don't.

Spot on! One time I had a rash on my scalp and went to a dermatologist who prescribed a powerful, disturbing steroid lotion, which I declined. Instead I started looking at cause and realized it was that I’d started wearing wool hats in the winter time. I stopped wearing them and the rash went away. Allopathic medicine says got a symptom, take a medication, rather than addressing root causes. So grateful for Dr. Sten’s videos.
@Trikevion2 жыл бұрын
What a coincidence, didn’t think I would find a so relatable comment here! How long did it take for the rash on your scalp to be fully gone? My scalp has been hitching like crazy since the start of winter this year and my eyes were itchy as well, I blamed the dry cold air causing this. But the cold weather was also when I started wearing my merino wool beanie and supplementing with Vitamin D3. Didn’t think much about it. Further into winter, I bought myself a very nice base layer long sleeve shirt made of merino wool. A month later I now have theses rashes on my forearm. That’s when I started investigating what was going on! It’s can’t be the dry air for my arm.. it literally never happened before. So I did a couple research and discovered that wool contains a type of grease called Lanolin AND vitamin D3 is made from Lanolin. Wait am I allergic to this? I now stopped wearing my wool and taking D3. I think it’s getting better. I’ll see if everything goes back to normal soon. I have only stopped this for like 5 days now.

After five days, I was no longer hungry at all, and after two weeks, I was mentally flying like a rocket. Clarity to the extreme, feeling powerful and completely happy inside and out.... it was a true journey into my inner world. Did not lose much weight, actually... I am normal and strong/healthy all the time! People should not do this as a beginner. It is recommended to start with 3, then 7, then 21, then 40 days. Not all in a row, mind you, lol.... put some break time between these. I'd say the first two can be done within a 3 month window, after that, maybe 6 more months for the 21 day, then a year before going for the 40 days. We need to "digest" the experience not just physically, but also mentally and spiritually. Consider it a quest. (Of our own inner Holy Grail???)

Did it on the strength of a bit of internet research. Funny thing … I hardly drank any water … walked every day (worked for the first 3 weeks) … my body seemed to become a closed system, perfectly easy about the experience. it did not seem to be a big deal. I lost no weight either .. but my eyes returned to a brighter blue . I am sure that you could cure cancer (even late stage) with this simple protocol. needless to say, I had to run the gauntlet of a horrified doctor … but she could find nothing to panic about; so just decided I was a bit soft in the head. It certainly was confirmation that our body and all its individual cells and systems have their own intelligence and consciousness. My body was just delighted that I stopped shoving endless quantities of food into it - so it could finally focus on clearing out the rubbish. So glad you posted 🤗 Blessings 💖

I do this for about 10 minutes, and my feet and hands get really warm, close to the point of sweating. By the way, it also helps to clear my lungs.

You are one of those amazing doctors in the US as well as Canada who advocate intermittent fasting and keto. I in fact some great doctors don't encourage pure keto, but IF they do. It's effects on body are amazing. As a Muslim I've all my life fasted 30 days a year and knew its spiritual value. Lately after listening to you Good people I read the reasons to fasting other than spiritual and turned out that all you say is in consonance with what I read in the scriptures. In fact alongside fasting there's a recommendation to eat less that needed; 2/3rd actually of the need. It'll keep the body healthy with minimum ailments.

I've followed Dr Ekberg's advice on diet for only six months. I'm 48, and have gone back to having the physique I had in my 20's, if not better. I'm constantly getting compliments from people who haven't seen me for a while, and this is so beneficial for my self esteem. All this free of charge! I love this guy, and I'm spreading the word to friends and family.

I’ve been following Dr. Ekberg for over a year. I’ve been on and off a 5/2 IF since then, 2MAD when not fasting, and quit bread and most sugars (I love bread and beer - was able to give up bread completely). I also try to walk a little over three miles a day (that’s how far the road goes). Last week I went to get a reflex (foot) massage with my wife. The foot massagers thought I was 59, and were shocked when my told them I was 77. Good genes and a great doctor! I love that the great doctor does not simplify the chemistry, the hormonal, and holistic interactions between the different parts of the body. I walk away feeling like I just left a Masters seminar. I wish MD’s could get CEU for continuing education watching his videos.

@anthonykeller51202 жыл бұрын
@Billy Keeling It depends why you are dieting. Since I want to lose weight I follow Dr. Ekberg’s and Dr. Fung’s (a nephrologist vlogger) recommendations on Intermittent Fasting (IF). Both doctors also recommend cutting out processed foods, sugar, and carb generally speaking. You really should watch Dr. Ekberg’s videos though, as he explains in a no nonsense way without a lot of the usual background clutter other vloggers add just to make their videos longer. Dr. Ekberg really pinpoints how different substances (not just food) affect each of the relevant body processes.

For another reason, I had applied a mixture of a carrier oil with a drop of tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, and others, every night before sleeping to my feet + wearing loose socks on top. The fungus was gone before I even realized it. It was great seeing the line separating the healthy and sick nail. For me, in addition to trimming, thinning the nail surface as much as possible made all the difference (i used a plain file but many use a professional dremel like sander). I suffered from toenail fungus on eight of my 10 toes. I tried all of the topical treatments that I could find including Epson salts, tea, oil, peroxide, vinegar, etc. nothing worked! I found the only thing that would get rid of. It was having my nails ground or deburred, use a laser treatment, and then put a tropical on that could penetrate the nail. I happen to use Jublia. After suffering from this for months, this worked on seven of the eight infected toenails. I now realized that my blood sugar probably also was planning a major role. So I’ve got my blood sugar down considerably. It looks like my nail is starting to clear up but as the doctor says, it’s gonna take probably 18 months for me to see complete improvement by the wayI found out I was allergic to Lamisil.

Just dip a q-tip in alcohol and wipe the clippers before using on another nail. I also put a drop or two of tea trea oil under the infected nail, every day after I brushed my teeth, made it part of my morning routine. I also had peridontal disease and had to really clean up my oral care by flossing twice a day, water flossing, brushing and salt water rinses. I also stopped eating processed sugar and products. Like Dr. Ekberg said, persistence is the key. It took about a year for my infected nails to regrow and clear with my regimen.
