I’ve been on a Paleolithic ketogenic diet since January 5 of this year. I’ve lost 20 pounds in three months. My doctor came into a room on a recent meeting and shut the door and stood there and smiled and said you are my hero. He said in less than three months you dropped your hemoglobin A1c from 8.5 to 6. He said that’s so good I don’t need to see you for another six months and hemoglobin A1c, of course is the definitive test for diabetes type two which is non-insulin dependent diabetes. Anything greater than 5.5 is doing damage to your body from sugar . but he said, you are controlling your sugar with your diet and your blood sugars instead of 190 you’re waking up after fasting and your blood sugars are 101, 104 97. He said that’s awesome. Keep doing what you’re doing.

While I still prefer listening to your voice, having a reference for your school of practice specifically for Arabic speakers is truly valuable. Unfortunately, I have noticed a lack of awareness regarding the principles you advocate for, and as you may already understand, this lack of understanding is contributing to an epidemic of metabolic disorders within my community. Took m 8 minutes to bring me back. This year started IM fasting and then you hear David Muir saying that IM is dangerous for heart patients. In April or may I will be asking my PCP for new bloodwork. Let’s see the changes. Can’t wait. Triglycerides/HDL ratio was 1.74 in January. I want to get it down to close to 1. Cut out the (added) sugar and food from a package. Sometimes I have good days but also days when I feel more tired. I just don’t know why. I’m 5’10” & 152 lbs. Lost about 8 to 9 this year alone.

I’m a type 1 diabetic that was 60 pounds over weight. My sugars and A1C were out of control. I had severe depression and anxiety, always exhausted. My liver and kidneys were struggling. My doctor wanted to just add to my growing list of medications. I declined and instead cut out all processed foods and created a well researched diet. In addition to working out I have made fasting a cornerstone of my wellness strategy. So jump to now and instead of being on the 10 medications they were pushing on me I’m only on the two required forms of insulin which I am taking at about 1/8 the dosages I was needing before I changed my habits. A whole food balanced diet and intermittent fasting not only changed my life, it freaking saved my life. Sadly they know there’s no money in me being well.

Dr. Ekberg, I have been doing the intermittent fasting for a little over a year now. I lost 40 pounds, but not only that - I feel much better: mentally and physically. Most of the ailments I had before are gone: my knees don’t hurt, my feet don’t hurt, I stopped snoring, I don’t have the sleep apnea any more. I ususally do 18:6. Sometimes, if I eat at social gatherings, I eat only once the next day. And one important thing: I am almost never hungry. When I eat, I eat whatever I want, but I natutally and very organically started to make choices of real food: eggs, veggies and fruit, but I also eat bread and pasta and even cake when I want. But I noticed processed food just makes me feel yucky, so I don’t eat much of it. I am behind you 100% and thank you for this wonderful channel! I do have to add that I also do physical activity once a day: walk, ride a bike or something like it for at least one hour per day. At age 50 now, I feel and look better than I did at 30! Thank you!

Before it was so difficult for me to change my eating habits, I had a sweet tooth since childhood and was pretty much addicted to sugar and processed carbs. once I got serious about IF I naturally began to make healthier food choices, it became so easy. and while I still enjoy desserts and processed foods occasionally, it’s now become a weekly choice rather than a daily habit. I finally have control over how and what I eat and I’m never going back I love it here

I've consistently completed 340 days of 18-hour fasts. While I maintain a balanced diet most days, I occasionally indulge. Formerly overweight and discontent, fasting has gradually improved my well-being, reducing aches and boosting my activity level. My once protruding belly has given way to the early emergence of a defined six-pack. Moreover, my weight has stabilized, and I now enjoy deeper sleep and easier mornings.

Ive been doing 18/6 IF consistently for 9 months, but not just IF, but also eating a predominantly plant based low carb diet. I am an ovo vegetarian, so I eat 2-4 large pasture raised eggs per day. When I started IF I had: Asthma High blood pressure (diastolic of 90) Gout Fatty Liver (ALT of 40) Ocular Migraines All driven by metabolic syndrome (fasting insulin of 15) I now have none of the above. My ALT is 15, my fasting insulin is 2.5. Ny a1c is 5.1 and my blood pressure is 106/69. I am in ketosis for 12-16 hours per day (i am not low enough carb to be a classic keto diet but because of low carbs and IF I quickly return to ketosis after eating each day) I walk 2.5 miles in 36 minutes every day (just got back from that walk). When I started I weighed 170 lbs, now I weigh 133 lbs.I am now doing weight lifting to build muscle, so I expect my weight to slowly increase, but with muscle. Anyone who thinks that I now have a higher probability of coronary artery disease is smoking some sort of fentanyl enhanced drug.

Thank you very much for this video. Showing all the different media on board with the new "study" made me confident that - again- I am doing the right thing. I am on a intermittent fasting routine for 2 years now. I lost weight, walk every day, sleep well, I am well. It changed my life for good. I was overeating before and of course the only the typical addictive highly processed food. I don't do that anymore and I thought a few years ago that would be impossible. The more you keep yourself healthy, the less you consume anything. And so there is no money to make of you. That's why they made the "study"...

Due to years of poor dietary choices, I've developed heart disease and atrial fibrillation. My heart is stented. Since learning from Sten about insulin resistance and what it causes, I've learned how to readjust my diet to low or zero carb and intermittent fasting. I feel much better and rarely need medication for Afibrillation. My weight is very good now at 9% body fat. 143 pounds at 5'10", Im narrow framed . My energy and memory both much improved. I believe Stens' elaborate teaching has much improved my quality of life and probably increased longevity. I believe this man needs to be very credited for what he is doing to alert so many lives to the many health and vitality woes caused by many of the very most common foods of our standard American diet along with his attentive dispelling of the numerous wrongful discouraging and harmfully counterproductive myths put forth by excessive conventionalist thinking of our standard medical community.

I've noticed over the past year what looks like a concerted effort to methodically undermine the perception of safety and efficacy of things like ketogenic diets and related lifestyle changes where individuals attempt to detox from the standard high-carb, low fat diet that is causing an explosion in metabolic syndrome worldwide. At the same time I have not seen one single article in the media talking about how bad carbohydrates and the standard "food pyramid" are. The only conclusion I can see is there are powerful interests that do not want people to be healthy.

I'm a 32-year-old male, 175cm tall and weighing 75kg, who has been following Dr. Ekberg's advice for years. I practice intermittent fasting, eating once every 24 hours at 21:00 for about five years, and do prolonged fasting (3-5 days) up to three times a year. My diet mainly consists of meat, salad, some cheese, yogurt, and EVOL. Despite my age, people say I look around mid-twenties, and I experience no inflammation, joint pain, or mental fog. I maintain an active lifestyle with daily walks (5-7km), weightlifting three times a week, and hiking 17-22km every weekend, all on an empty stomach. Might be genetics i guess(Just joking my father is type 2 diabetic). 2 days ago, my mother mentioned a doctor on a TV show (I live in Greece) discussing "results" from "AHA research" that seemed to promote a "traditional diet". It seems better for heart health to eat voraciously and rely on drugs for damage control instead of naturally allowing our organs to rest.(sarcasm again) Dr. Ekberg thank you so much for promoting an approach that challenges profit-driven practices. I intend to continue demonstrating the benefits of this lifestyle.

Thank you so much for this. My journey to better health has been difficult due to physical and mental health problems. I finally found the combination of eating and exercise habits that work for my situation, and intermittent fasting is a big part of that.

@drekberg I am a truck driver who works for 4 weeks and then 2 weeks goes home. I gained weight in the period 2014-2017 from 72 kg to 105 kg... I had no knowledge about metabolism what so ever. Then I started some so called Mediterranean diet and added some movement and lost about 10 kg.. to about 94-96 kg and stayed there for years. Now for about 1 year I started to follow this channel which I believe is the best channel for health on youtube . I follow 3 channels for health dr Ekberg, dr Berg and the Gym owner Eddie A. (with the quote "wake the f up"). But still I think this channel gives the most information, clear information and understandable for the general public. Thank you Dr. Ekberg you changed my life! I have dropped weight since following you videos from 96 kg to 78 kg with height of 180 cm, and insulin resistance from 2.62 to 0.61. And all other markers improved including triglycerides, PSA and so forth... can you make a video more clear about alcohol abuse because you already have a huge impact on does who understand health, Thank you again and God bless your work !!!!!

Great commentary sir!! I agree with you 100%. As always... Follow The Money. That always leads to the truth & the ulterior motives of those with something to loose. My confidence in the AHA has now dropped to that of the FDA, CDC, WHO, & AMA. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Thanks for this information. I appreciate your videos and especially that you are coming from the perspective of treating the underlying causes of illness rather than the industry standard of treating the symptoms (with products/drugs of questionable safety). In all fairness, you should include the link to the questionable study that you are analyzing.
