Something I heard a physical therapist say always stayed with me when it comes to exercise. "Motion is lotion". Meaning the movement of the joints and muscles keep them lubricated. I personally ride a bicycle just 5 miles 3 - 6 days a week. If weather prevents me from getting this movement of exercise, I quickly start to stiffen up so it really makes a difference. At 66 I hope I can do this well into the future. It also helps me maintain a better sense of balance.

I am writing this Two stone lighter (16>14)since watching your explanations in April 2024 about insulin levels and intermittent fasting. Man, you are a good teacher. I love your slow, nuanced, and methodical approach to your subject matter. It is always accurate, understandable, and comprehensible, and I love your visual format that augments the subject matter - bravo Dr. Ekberg, bravo, and thank you for your enlightening and educational lessons! A great series. Lastly, your command of the lessons you teach is remarkable and enviable, I’m truly impressed! On behalf of your viewing audience, thank you for sharing your vast and intelligent science knowledge with us. And by the way, I am one of those people you mentioned who rarely get sick; I’ve always prided myself on my apparent extraordinary good health over the years. I’ve never taken it for granted. I’ve never been monetarily rich, but I’ve always recognized that my richness, my extraordinary wealth is my good health. 😊

Nicely explained Dr.Sten Ekberg, I do understand those; - Explaining importance of getting sun light from sunrise/sunset avoiding blue light - Importance of meditation - Improving nervous system via breathing, reducing stress - And ofc importance of what you put into your body can significantly impact your reality but I am curious about how sexual activity (releasing our "creative atoms" from the body) affects our immune system and body? What happens to the immune system afterward?

I went strict carnivore for 2 months due to statins side effects and apart from it healing my muscles and joints, I noticed I never get the flu anymore and it's been a year now. I had flu every 2 months before. And my mentrual cycle is normal now.
@Mike-ib6pd3 сағат бұрын
But what do you do now? 2 months is ok for a reset or elimination but it's what you do medium to long term that matters. E.g. don't eat beef & salt for 5 years straight, unless you're trying to get bowel cancer for a bet. Our bodies are amazing at coping with some nutritional deficiency short term, but not for years. Too many people are confusing the positive effects of stopping their awful previous diets and the effects of the diet they stopped it with. Carnivore diet fans aren't killing themselves quickly but they aren't on a healthy and complete diet, even Dr Stenberg would say don't do it long term, and he's been a carnivore fan in the past.

I've been critical of Dr Ekberg in the past but I think this is actually a great, simple, video to get people to understand how to live a healthier, longer life. I'm glad that he now clarifies that a carnivore diet isn't the solution long term, like fodmap, it's just a short term elimination diet. This video is simplistic but a great starting point - the part on processed foods & chemicals is certainly too simplistic, but I get this is an overview. I'd also call it something less like 'how to boost your immune system' and something more like 'how not to die earlier than you should' or 'how to not make yourself sick'. 90% of what he's said (with the exception of some meat) is what I've researched for over 30 years. Following it will drastically reduce your chances of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, organ damage, Alzheimer's, and lots of mitochondrial dysfunction related illness. Unfortunately our entire system, especially healthcare & nutrition is broken, so it's a real challenge to avoid ingesting toxins from our food. The food industry is constantly lying to people and making them sick and big pharma just peddles pills to scoop up the mess, not heal people or prevent sickness in the first place. The one critical element missing from this is antibiotic residues, I think they are becoming a very very dangerous issue related to immunity and early but preventable death. Residues that are prevalent in meat, especially intensively farmed meat like salmon, pork, beef and chicken. I worked in antibiotic residue testing for maff & DEFRA and haven't eaten any of them for 15 years. Mainly because the testing results were alarming and now they are all but abandoned in the UK & EU. They never even existed in many other places! If you can't afford certified organic avoid them all as a priority. Constant low dose antibiotics could be contributing to millions of peoples premature death and it's hardly mentioned. I'll get push back on that last comment but I worked in that specialism for years so if you don't like it just ignore me and roll the dice on it.

At 2617 you talk about putting diffusers in your house that put out a pleasant odor of flowers. Dr Eckberg. I have been trying to get some answers and so far no one has responded. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. I am 57 years old, been on keto diet for about 3 months now. Low Carb, Moderate Protein & Fat. Lost 25 lbs, blood sugar came down to normal. Triglyceride down from 7.4 to 1.3, but cholesterol went up both HDL & LDL. What i do not get is that my Blood Pressure is not going down, any clue. I am at 200lb 5 feet 6 inches tall. Don't eat a lot of salt/sodium. it's between 140 to 160 / 81 to 90 most of the time. From Ontario, Canada. My fats are grass fed butter or Organic, Extra virgin olive oil, organic cold press coconut oil, Organic avocado oil, fresh avocado. Don't eat beef or pork. Only chicken, lamb, eggs and whey isolate protein powder 0 sugar. Sardines, salmon tin & fresh. Shrimp, sweet pepper, broccoli, cauliflower. Some salad with regular cheese and i make my own dressing apple cider vinegar, lemon juice & EVOO salt & pepper to taste. would have some sour dough bread 1 slice maybe 2 or 3 times a week toasted with butter & EVOO. Sauerkraut and kimchi. Some lentil roti & occasionally 1 cup basmati rice. Blood pressure still high. Any clue. Supplements D3 10,000 IU with 300 mcg K2 (MK7), Magnesium bisglicinate 400mg daily, Methylated B Complex, Zinc Picolinate 25mg with Copper 2mg & Hawthorn Berry supplements 540mg 3 x daily. Lemon juice, apple cider vinegar and cayanne pepper in the morning.

What do you eat? And viral load matters, I think Dr Ekberg confirms this. Look at all your inflammatory markers, if you only get exposed to low viral loads and still get sick a lot it's probably because your immune system is barely coping on a daily basis. Small viral loads will make you sick, I brush off high viral loads compared to everyone around me. I've been doing everything in this video ( except for red meat & chicken) for 5 years and I just never get sick any more. I get cold/virus symptoms start but the next day I wake up 100% while people in my own house and work end up sick for a week or more. I wasn't always like this, I used to be like them, what Dr Ekberg says is absolutely true.
