I think that is a beautiful little opal, after its buff and polishing.

Thank Mike was a good one in terms of colour.

Awww look at that beautiful blue in it.
@RoysRocks4 жыл бұрын
Blue is a great colour to find in white Coober Pedy material. Much of the time i think it looks better than red personally in the white opal.
@MsPixi664 жыл бұрын
@@RoysRocks yes I agree.

I wish the red stood out more on the white opal. I think my fave white opal is a pinfire blue and green 50:50.

@@RoysRocks I've done a little white one recently which has nothing but dots of red it does look nice.

Ah. Going into the aquarium business now? Lol. This fish idea is great. Would make a great display for odd chunks that wouldn't be able to be cut into conventional type pieces, while still showing off the beauty of the different types and colours. Good call. Maybe carve out a few other creatures to go with them. Small shells that you get. My imagination runs with it!!!!!!!! Lol. Have a great day, Roy. ( If you're not freezing your bum off! Cold as Siberia here ATM.) Looking forward to the next video.

Yep rock aquarium it is. Shells and fish. Like a chips jar but a little more fancy is the idea

Love the outcome. So pretty.

I'm always loving any outcome that has nothing to do with sand or cracks =)

I plan on it for sure. Taking a break from white opal and crystal opal is up next.

Hi Roy Thus video is so amazing and the outcome us just brilliant.. Suffice to say the 1st bur is none sintered right? And yet the end result is awesome. So u reckon with sintered it would be any different?
@RoysRocks Жыл бұрын
Ah yeah this is in the electroplated days. Sintered is far smoother (less chipping) and last 100x longer. So to serious carvers I say forget the electroplated burrs. By the time you go through 3 sets you could have bought 1 set of sintered burrs. I'm also expanding the store globally in the up coming weeks so people can get a cheaper option even if it is from all the way over here in Aus. With postage and tax I still want to pull off being the cheapest.

Can 4 make a 2 sided....tune in next time. Ty for the video.
@RoysRocks4 жыл бұрын
I think in the second side there is a sand patch that runs to deep unfortunately.

@@RoysRocks I was thinking you would lose the fine grain pattern but pick up that blue broad flash in the thick crystal under
@RoysRocks4 жыл бұрын
It's worth a try at least. If that blue flash sits on the bottom face well I won't complain that's for sure.

Make it a "pleasing" shape.... (ie oval every time)... 😁
@RoysRocks4 жыл бұрын
The classic oval. I dont think I have even uploaded a single oval yet to this channel? Whenever I make an oval I find it too boring and the process is always the same. I might do one soon. Have a few pieces with oval stenciled on to them somewhere in a bag.

@@CC6_Fanclub_President Yeah he really cuts for business with that being his full time profession... when he isn't fishing that is.
