You just proved a point I make all the time to other anglers.....to many anglers rely on who has put a post on Facebook of a catch before there attack a venue or if a otter has been seen then the venue has been wiped out...all of course nonsense!!!!!! Get a bait in the water and find out for yourself, you won’t catch anything sat on the sofa....Great video

Best specialist videos bar none. Very few can tell a story like Terry Hearn but Dan comes close. Excellent work Drennan and Daniel 👏👏

Ive caught big zander all summer.. middle of the day sun out.. crystal clear water.. its just about finding the right spot. Ive lost a few baited rigs on that venue though in some underwater sticks, def going to upgrade my mainline for next season.. i hate losing baited rigs knowing that a big fish might take them and then die.

Beautiful looking fish. In my youth serious pike anglers always used round metal landings nets, usually salmon nets, which can fold the pike into them.

How do you attach the 100lb uplink to the 60lb braid? Nice campaign!
@MrFelipefelop Жыл бұрын
Try a palomar knot or a double version of it 👍
@DrennanTackleTV Жыл бұрын
The uplink he uses are specially made and either have a loop or a swivel attached to the end I believe. Glad you liked the film.
@johnmerritt4904 Жыл бұрын
Hi I'm Dan's mate who makes um for him, I use large double barrelled crimps at either end with a swivel and tail rubber sleeve to the braid and the bottom end go's though a fledger and then a cross lock clip for the trace to be attached, hope this helps 👍
@MrFelipefelop Жыл бұрын
@@johnmerritt4904 ok,so your being really vague tbh,please elaborate on it,what size trace and crimps,it wont catch me a bigger fish,I am quite aware of it,it just seems odd you put a half fly blown vlog together,great capture and well done with all the effort and editing that has gone into it. Thanks

I’m here in mayo I.E Last week I bought an NGT 42” Carp net, it also has float stops which is great cause it makes netting a pike on your own so much easier, I’ve landed 6 pike in it since I got it on eBay last week for only €48 including post , if your on a budget it’s ideal, also has a 2 M telescopic handle , other than that you can also get the Fox Predator net which is much more expensive Hope this helps mate Tight lines

Unfortunately without naming it the Uk river that’s closest to me is definitely lacking in fish, they are there to be had but a lot of people just won’t bother, deemed as a waste of time unless you get lucky and it’s not even a pleasant place to fish.
@garyoxley82017 ай бұрын
Good video and a great angler 'but' his story did not match what happened? He shows a 'rotten rig' to lose the lead if snagged, then did not use it. He said his net was getting dragged out of his hand with the flow, not on that peg it is slack where he is landing it ... why not just tell the truth?
@DrennanTackleTV7 ай бұрын
I didn't know you attended that film shoot with us, Gary? Dan used a rotten bottom for 99% of the fishing on the river, maybe one rod didn't close in on the sand. Not on the estate lake. Despite the peg being in a slack, there is still considerable flow in winter on the Trent.
@garyoxley82017 ай бұрын
@@DrennanTackleTV I didn't attend as you well know ... just watched the video for my views. The peg where you were would never rip the net out of your hand at the level the river was in the video because it heads mid-river to the far bank. You also did not pick up on that I enjoyed the video and said this ... ?.
