My doctor put me on a PPI when I should've been on anti-stress and an easily digestable diet for a while. I was in a stressful period of my life and my stomach acid was low and so was my stomach's mucosal barrier. I was getting heartburn for the first time in my life so they figured I had too much acid. turns out it was too little so the LES wasn't closing. It got to the point where no matter how much I chewed my food it was always showing up in my stool. I had cold hands, cold feet, VERY poor blood circulation, NO ENERGY, etc. It was awful. And I had massive brain fog any time I ate. Well I stopped using the PPI and my acid has returned to low instead of NONE, which is a lot better.

HCL is very good, combined with digestive enzymes as they work even better to break down your food. I suffer from hypochloryhdria and slow gastric emptying but also have damage to my stomach lining. The key is trying to control the inflammation which can be caused by the low stomach acid, this is when foods begin to ferment in the stomach causing and acid like response ( acid reflux ) apple cider vinegar can help rebalance the PH of your stomach but also be careful as this could delay gastric emptying. Ideally if you have damaged to the smooth muscle or lining you would really need to be careful of with the type of foods you are consuming , lean proteins are good, not too many refined carbs or fried foods. Also looking at the GI index of your food it will help you determine how fast your food is being digested, this plays a big role in the production of acid. Hope this helps some.

i went on this diet last year which restricted me to eating rice for only one time a day. it lasted me for about 6-7 months in which i lost a lot of weight, and that i felt good about :) afterwards i came to realize my diet wasn't healthy and sustainable AT ALL, i know you'd probably say "why couldn't i realize sooner" ?! i was too blinded by the fact i was losing weight. and i admit it made me felt happy being able to fit in my older clothes. anyways i started going on a calorie deficit, after realizing the many things i've been doing wrong (which also meant increasing my calorie intake). it was chill for a few weeks, but a little while after i started feeling some symptoms, i started feeling gassy. every time I would lie down my stomach would start growling. after a normal meal i would always feel bloated and burp all the time. it feels like it's been AGES since i had a normal poop. it felt like the food wasn't going down completely. i would rarely feel hungry and i always get full easily. i also couldn't wear tight clothes bc of the discomfort i feel in my stomach. when ppl ask me to describe it, all i can say is that "i have slow digestion". bc i cant rly tell if its acid if im not tasting anything bitter or feeling heartburn issues etc. it's been bothering for me these past few months already, i feel like the doctors aren't taking me seriously either, they only tell me to change my eating habits and to exercise regularly but i feel like nothing is happening 😭 my anxiety is worsening and i feel hopeless. i just want to eat normally again. i'm just 18 lol and i feel like ive alr ruined a lot at this point. if anyone has some advice pls do share them w me :)) it's ok if it sounds harsh as long as it helps. im willing to listen to anything, really. and if you've made it up to here, thank you i guess.

First we need strong stomach acid in order to break down collagen and absorb it properly. Otherwise this is why collagen supplement dont work for many people as they are disappointed when they dont see any differences. It is best to take betaine hydrochloride supplement along with collagen powder at the same time. It might work 100% optimal

@@c.k.7361 First, take one tablet at time in one week. If you dont feel uncomfortable with one tablet since one week, then greatly increase two tablets of betaine hydrochloride. And if you still dont feel uncomfortable side effect of taking two tablets in two weeks, then you can increase three tablets per day until you get result. At that point if you feel uncomfortable with three tablets, then just take one tablet. But if one tablet still makes you uncomfortable side effect, then you dont need to take supplement of betaine hydrochloride because the body makes it own as long as you maintain healthy diet

I occasionally did during inactivity and found my lats were super tight despite stretching, and gave me anterior pelvic tilt. This also tightened my rib cage and affected my breathing/ ability to diaphragmatic breathe. I never had GERD symptoms before that. I’ve also lost my delts to stabilise my shoulders and triceps. But on the side I successfully loosened I can breathe better- still working on the other. See if your rib cage and anchoring muscles are tight.

@@samanthamunoz6874 lol the way I just explained it. You’d know if your breathing either in or out is reduced or takes more effort. There are full range lay stretches you can look up here as the lats also elevate the rib cage when you breathe and can’t when they’re tight. The stretch needs to be from back of humerus right down to the pelvis.
