Potassium saved me big time this month. Young fit muscular guy. Been fasting occasionally, keto, mostly carnivore, lifting weights, tiny bit of low intensity cardio. Was having issues sleeping for months, becoming edgy and having repetitive thoughts(stressing over small stuff), heart palpitations getting worse and worse sometimes with runs of svt for few seconds, fatigued, low motivation. I added magnesium 200mg and potassium 500-1000mg via low salt table salt and that first day the palpitations disappeared, mood lifted, slept better. Melatonin didn’t help(figured it was because of my strange work schedule so I tried melatonin to tell my body when to I’m supposed to sleep). Thanks Doc for your great info!

Do you know why ? Because the ruined the kidney with pharmaceutical products ...when your kidney is not very well functioning they don't recommend potassium...sorry I didn't meant your kidney...but you can do potassium supplement temporary you should not exceed more than 200mg per day that is why even if you go to health store you can't find a higher dose ...200-250mg per dose If course preferably coming from leafy greens and nuts and seeds is much better..... Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been struggling with low potassium, this week it got the lowest it’s ever been at 2.3, and it was scaring me not understanding what is happening. I do have four questions if you have time. One, when given intravenously, 10 mEq of potassium is supposed to raise your blood serum potassium levels about .13. If I did the math correctly, 4700 mg potassium = 120 mEq = 1.56 increase in blood serum levels. However, if this happened everyday from oral intake you would quickly have too much potassium. What am I missing? Two, I get this low of potassium and have very few symptoms besides fatigue and the very occasional muscle twitch. Is it possible for your blood to say your deficient but inside your cells you have enough potassium? Three, I understand now why you need potassium in your cells - but why do you need it in your blood? Because they test it there and I’d think that a lower level would be better because wouldn’t it mean more is in your cells. And lastly, I know it has a relationship with insulin. If you receive potassium, could it make your blood sugar go down? Thanks!
