Absolutely right. I never try to decrease fever. I actually try to drive it up... drink half a liter or more water, put extra clothes on, put a few extra blankets and go to bed. In the morning, I start sweating and fever is gone. been doing this for more than 30 years and never took any antibiotics to fight a sickness for the same amount of time. It works !

Same thing seems to apply to icing an area that is swelling, bruised, etc. As a mountain biker I get minor bumps and scraps quite often and recently stopped applying cold to affected areas and have noticed that they heal, feel much better in shorter periods of time, if I let the body do it's thing. I also stopped the Rest, Compression and Elevation and pretty amazed at the difference in typical recovery times. The scars are also far less noticeable after the injury as well.

I've been Searching for years how to reduce fever without medication, but then I would be too afraid to try it. Just because of how quickly the seizure would happen. It's like I didn't have time for natural remedies. As soon as the fever hits there goes the seizure. One time the seizure came before the fever. Just crazy! . And I also explain this to my kids, being extra cautious when a small child has a fever of course, but I was telling my daughter to imagine how her body is fighting the bad guys (virus, bacteria) making them really hot etc. And was lucky with an excellent peadiatrician when they were babies she was prescribing liquid calcium every time.

Our bodies know how to survive and have been adapting to our environments for a long long time. It's amazing how little we know about the process of our bodies. Our only Job is to watch what we put in our mouths how often and when. And go to sleep when we're tired. And move when we are not. We think others are smarter then our bodies and allow them to interrupt its process.

You could have muscle knots. I have them frequently under my rib cage on both sides of my back, and they can be pretty painful. Press the area and see if you feel sharp pain. Hold the pressure for about 12 seconds, release to let the blood flow to the area, then press again. Keep doing it until the pain subsides and you have loosened the knot. I get these knots all through my neck, shoulders and back. I have a massage ball that I use against a wall to loosen the knots. I’ve been on keto/ intermittent fasting for a few weeks and my muscles are so much better. I suspect that they were badly damaged and are repairing.

Can you do a video on seasonal allergies and natural remedies that actually work? I've noticed that ear infections and being "sick" correlate to seasonal allergies in myself and my kids... probably most people. At the first sign of a running/ stuffy nose or a congested sounding voice, I give them antihistamines. My oldest son is 15 and has only ever had maybe 1 ear infection his whole life. I had chronic ear infections as a child, but as soon as I figured out that feeling sick was from allergies and took antihistamines, I never had another one. I have a 6 year old that only ever had 1 ear infection and that's because she doesn't really communicate when she's not feeling well, and my 7 year old has never had an ear infection. My stepson, however, gets ear infections all of the time because his mom just does not know to give him an antihistamine at the first sign of a "cold".... it's not a cold.... and yes, you can have allergies in the winter... mine are sometimes worse in the winter.
@lindajohnson21493 жыл бұрын
Interesting. Do you think getting a runny nose after eating foods is connected to (food) allergy too and would go away from taking any antihistamine? I have taken Lavender, Lemon, and Peppermint essential oils to reduce seasonal allergies. Sometimes it's connected to the snow thawing /mold on the ground outside too, so I add other essential oils for that that has really helped me & others. But recently after a few seasons of enjoying a spring getaway trip FL or CA, I've needed to change it up. I'm definitely hoping Dr Berg will do a video on this too.

Hi I just want to say thanks for sharing this video. I love watching your videos. I have a quick question I’ve had ginger capsules for about five years now and I’m wondering if they expire? The expiration date says 10/31/21 and I don’t know what that means.

Mean temperatures are coming down over generations. Mine runs around 97.3 to 97.8ºF. When I had covid, my "fever" was as high as 101 or 102ºF.

You forgot to mention the thymus gland in the chest and the connection to the fever.

Hi Dr. Berg thanks for all that you are doing to help us live healthy. Since I found you in KZbin I’ve been following your educational videos I started keto diet, IF, & I walk 40-60 minutes 4 days a week. I lost 14 lbs in two months but now I am starting to gain the weight back, even though I’ve not changed anything. Please help me!!!!!

A couple of times I fasted longer while I feel higher body temperature, for example, if I feel some fever in the morning I won't break my fast at noon, I'll break my fast 2-3 hours later. It works

What doctor would say that!?? If there is a lump or cyst or anything you feel in the breast, go get a ultrasound and a mammogram immediately.

Thank you Dr. Berg, this is exactly what I have told my family and they all look at me crazy! As a matter of fact in the Spanish community there’s a saying “enfermo que come no muere” meaning the ill who eats don’t die and that’s exactly what they need to avoid to give the body a short break from all that loaded Spanish carb food! They mean well but they may be doing more harm.. as a parent now myself I take my own knowledge with my child but you always have that close minded mostly elders who think they know it all. I will be forwarding this! We need a Spanish version ASAP lol Thank you!
