So excited that you are up to date on Dresden my friend! When the new one comes out we need to do a buddy read!

According to Jim Butcher's web site, the next book (Twelve Months) is 84% complete. Maybe six months before it goes to publisher? I hope! If you're interested in more Dresden Files content, there are two anthologies of short stories: Side Jobs and Brief Cases. Brief Cases is the latest anthology and will help explain some things in Peace Talks/Battle Ground that you didn't fully grasp. There is also a novella that takes place right after Battle Ground, called The Law. The Law doesn't really expand upon the Dresden Universe, but it is a fun little piece that tries to keep fans satiated until the next book drops. From what I've gleaned in KZbin videos and Reddit, the next book, Twelve Months is an addition to the planned series and is probably going to be more like Ghost Story than any of the other Dresden Files books. Harry coming to terms with the aftermath of PT/BG before moving on to the next stage of his journey.

I am aware of the shorts story and may get to them but I wanted to get the novels done and switch to scifi reading for a bit. Nice to know that 85% info about the next book, thanks.

@@Montie-Adkins I love Sci-Fi. Mostly the old school masters, like E. E. 'Doc' Smith, Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein, Niven, etc. But, I've been recently listening to on audio books, Craig Alanson's Expeditionary Force series and Denis E. Taylor's Bobiverse series. Both series are fast paced. Expeditionary Force is more light-hearted, and Bobiverse is more hard science. Both can tug at your emotions at surprising places in the stories.

@@MurcanDownunder Oh I read Bobiverse. Good stuff. Asimov, Clarke, Niven, yes yes.

Murphy dead - after that incredibly long game… I don’t think she’ll stay dead

I think she'll come back enhanced, divine as a Norse god. Maybe her own adventure through Asgardian lore.
