The grape allegation wasn't alleged. She did in fact threaten to do that. She apologized for it in her google doc. Gonna probably ruffle some feathers here, but I don't care. Everyone is excusing this by saying "oh Gigi is only 17 she's young, she's gonna make mistakes". A mistake like falsely accusing someone of grape???? Because they made a game just like yours? And threatening to DMCA the game as well. First of all. A dress up game is a genre. You can't claim complete ownership of a genre. Second, while I love It Girl and D2I. It girl was NO WHERE near performing like D2I was. So why she felt SO threatened by it's performance I will never know. Third. Being young IS NO excuse for anything she confirmed she did. I'm gonna be honest, I've read a couple of threads about it in Twitter and I just... don't buy it. Like maybe it's because I'm a grown ass adult, but most of these ''super cancelable things'' Gigi have done are just like... teenager things that most of us had done (talking behind a friend's back, being dramatic, getting overly mad at someone over silly things, saying things you dont really mean in the heat of the moment...), and I'm 100% sure the really problematic things like the r4c1sm part are taken out of context. It’s not Dress to Impress that’s getting canceled, It’s Gigi who is. Remember Gigi made the game and hired people, but all of this is the admins and developers. This is not Gigi’s work. This is all the other developers work. We have trusted Gigi and praised her compared to all the other developers, but all she does is decline or Accept assets and manage the Robux and player count. The real work went into the devs working their a*bleep*’ses for us to have unique and cool assets, Lana Lore, and Backgrounds. People need to understand this isn’t Gigi’s Creation. It’s the community, the other developers, the Pinterest creators, the dresses who created dress to impress. We need to play still to support the asset makers, not Gigi. Ok look… I love DTI, but I will not choose to support Gigi’s actions (and I would hope that nobody else would either) but I did notice that everyone was saying that her being 14 wasn’t an excuse, yet Gigi mentioned that she knew it wasn’t an excuse and that she needed a break to reflect on her actions. Again I do not support anything said by Gigi (that was related to f@t shaming, 🍇, and r@c1sm) but I do not believe that she used AI to create her apologies. The thing is lots of people are hating on Gigi for things that have been proved (allegedly) wrong. I’ve heard things about people trying to find out Gigi’s address to dox her and make her life miserable for doing/saying everything and as much as Gigi is in the wrong it wouldn’t make the whole situation better to be an awful person to Gigi for things she’s apologized for, but it also depends on if her apology was sincere. It's so unfortunate that such YOUNG people can have so much power over other creators in ROBLOX... This is all screaming petty teenage behavior. I really do hope this all has humbled her and opened her eyes. DTI wouldn't be anywhere without the dev and fan support. To have a game on roblox that averages 300 thousand players and still be worried about another dress up game, to the extent where you're SHIT TALKING THE CREATOR in discord servers with a bunch of other teens and young adults. weird and gross. Hopefully Gigi will get some people who can help her deal with PR and employee problems so she doesn't get stressed and end up hurting someone like chowi again.. not that that's an excuse, but the way they were talking is unprofessional and definitely won't be sustainable for the future of DTI.. @@dani-t6t2z I don't think she should be hated on or cancelled. But the "jokes" she made is giving immature. That kind of immaturity needs a wake up call, especially if they're employing people. No one is traumatized, yes, but it's good she's realizing those comments are a mistake and she's apologizing. I don't doubt SOME of the people she's talked about are dragging it on for their own gain or to "take her down" or cancel her, but there's plenty of normal people who see gigis behaviour and want to talk about it.
