People so spoiled by the greatness of guys like Brady, don’t even realize that drew got them same amount of rings or more than some of the all time greats. For example, Dan Marino may be the most talented qb to ever live but what did he win? Is he all of a sudden just a waste that the dolphins shouldn’t have ever drafted? Another example. Drew Brees beat Peyton Manning head to head in a super bowl and they both had 1 ring for a majority of their careers. Does Peyton deserve ultimate credit for getting a second ring on his way out even though he was washed that season and benched for Brock osweiler during the season and carried in the playoffs by an all time great defense? Drew brees was carrying terrible defenses year in and year out and suffered many playoff losses because his defenses couldn’t do what toms and Peyton’s were able to do and that’s get a stop with the game on the line. So many example beastquake, Alex smith to Vernon Davis, Minnesota miracle, and even no Nola no call. My point is, it’s a team game and Tom wouldn’t have 7 rings if he wasn’t drafted to a team with a top defense already built. It’s a team game and I just think it’s sad that one of the ALL-TIME greatest careers we’ve ever seen is actually seen as a “waste” by some cuz he only got one ring. I’ll tell you one thing, as a saints fan from before the brees era even started all i ever asked for was one super bowl in my life and drew delivered what all saints fans thought could never be done in NOLA. It would be the same as taking the browns to the super bowl and winning thats how bad the saints were before him and I bet browns fans would die for just one ring. Drew is one of the greats 🐐
