I honestly think Drew Carey is doing an awesome job. Sure alot of naysayers could say Bob Barker was the best and no one can top him, and I'm sure Drew Carey can't top him. But on his own, he's doing a pretty kick-ass job of being a great host.

@@sk8terboi10003 As polished as Bob was, I do think Drew was/is more personable. Not to put down Bob's abilities as an emcee, those are and really will forever be unmatched and I loved him as a kid even if he was on a big ego kick by then looking back (I grew up watching his final 5 years or so in high school and college), but there's something to be said for genuineness. I liken Drew to Tom Kennedy in that way when he did the show. Are/were they as on the mark as Bob? Not quite, but they added/add something Bob didn't as far as a realness. I appreciate it about both of their runs.

Drew was still relatively new to the job. He can't be perfect. I think some people back at this time still wanted Bob Barker back, and couldn't stand that a comedian, not a game show legend, was hosting.

"I think some people back at this time still wanted Bob Barker back, and couldn't stand that a comedian, not a game show legend, was hosting." I wasn't one of those and never will be-- I knew that Bob was/is a legend (and still has his mark indelibly in the annals of television history, as long as he was on TPIR; Rod and Johnny do as well, for their remarkable announcing histories), but even after Drew's shaky start in his first few years, I knew that Drew would get better, and now, TPIR is something that I DVR every day, and always will, as much of an improvement as Drew has showed over the years (and he and George, at least IMO, remind me every day of how Bob and Rod worked so well with each other).

The mistake she made while a contestant was playing Five Price Tags; here's what happened, in this order: 1) contestant earns three chances after the True/False part of the game 2) contestant chooses the topmost price tag, which was incorrect 3) Manuela pulls the tag with the word NO behind it 4) Manuela pulls the tag below the contestant's incorrect guess, revealing a card with the word WIN, thinking that the contestant had only one guess 5) contestant goes wild 6) Manuela tries to put the tag back up, but is unsuccessful 7) Drew tells the contestant that Manuela gave her the car This went viral for all to see on KZbin (including me); the footage of Manuela's mistake was seen two years later on a Mash-Up Week episode of Let's Make A Deal.
