Drew Carey came to us in Baghdad in 2003. He was on a USO tour and he even brought the actress that played Mimi. The funniest part was we had a captain that looked exactly like him,except sounded like a frog lol. So,Drew graciously took a picture with him and lo and behold,it was like twins lol. He was so cool and nice,and even stayed till he got to talk to everybody. An awesome dude. And yes,Mimi is actually a very nice lady in real life lol.

I met Drew once in Kuwait back in 2001. He was doing a USO tour and he stopped by our camp. I missed his show because I was on guard duty. He was doing his meet and greet when my crew got relieved. I made a beeline straight to the MWR tent, skipping the shower and chow. The tour was running him a bit ragged so he was a bit disheveled and was slouching a bit. I was wearing my BCG's at the time so when I walked up to him he tells me "Hey, nice glasses" and before the picture he tries them on and says "God damn son, you can see the future these things". I shook his hand and took a picture.

During the run of the Drew Carey Show, the network would freak out whenever Drew lost weight and would push him to stop or bulk back up for the sake of the show. They thought the character was funnier and more likable fat.
@mikearchibald7442 жыл бұрын
Yeah, eventually Hollywood gets you, but losing weight isn't often a bad idea except for eating disorders. The only thing I think I noticed was that the other people on Drew Carey don't seem to be on his show much. I wonder how much they may not have liked how popular Mr. Wick became.
