5thcandy grande I actually think that he did like Mary but at the dance he was so enthralled with the mystery girl. I think when he found out Mary WAS the mystery girl, a lot of things clicked for him. Also, with dancing you can tell a lot about chemistry through the ways bodies move together, so it's actually a pretty decent thing to like someone for. Especially since they were intimately dancing together.
