Cheers from Brazil!

It looks to me like the circle is meant to be the focal point of the composition So in the last one, you got it wrong; the circle is the burst of light behind Kurt Russell. He's trying to draw our attention to the star of the movie.

Hey James do you if these 80’s movie and video game cover art work were done all by hand with digital effects added or was it some type of 80’s software used back then?? The reason I ask is because a lot of modern movie posters and art work tries to replicate that vintage look yet it looks completely artifical or modern digital yet does not have that true athentic vintage feel…. I wonder if its a mix of film photography with some type of manual touch up effect or some type of vintage digital effect
@jamesthomas1123 Жыл бұрын
It was all done by hand back in the 80s. There were no digital affects at all back in the 80s. Thank you!

Part of this is a commercial need for somebody scanning images in a periodical or online of movie posters to quickly pick up on the idea of the film, and the subject matter and a lot of Dru’s paintings are laid out similar to how we naturally scan a page or an image for information about it. I’m not sure this is so much his own technique as it is done for commercial and marketing purposes

This is a revelation? Leonardo was using triangle composition in the 16th century.
