The Bonfire had a guy on who's band opened for Corey at some crappy gig. He said Corey and his band showed up way late in the day, then proceeded to soundcheck for four hours. This guy said Corey himself seemed nice enough, but he is clearly oblivious to everything going on around him.

I don't think Corey was necessarily 'lining his pockets' as much as his entire existence and lifestyle is incredibly insolvent, and he's been living well beyond his means for decades now, but is trying to keep up the appearance of wealth, since he does seem to live quite an extravagant lifestyle for a poor broken Hollywood child actor. You'd think he would have at least attempted to 'tighten his belt' over the last 30 years....

I saw an interview with Joe Lynn Turner, formerly of Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen among others, where he explained the importance of the bus driver on a tour. Much of the band sleep happens on the bus. In order to get rest they need to trust their bus driver. I wish I could have heard more from him because while an easy to miss member of the crew, a lot of trust goes towards the bus driver and bands have no problem firing a driver they can't trust. Instead of poking fun at the "glamour" of the bus driver I wish they would let us hear him speak. This is somebody who would have real perspective and first hand knowledge of issues like he was trying to explain.
