The people of Afghanistan need to be able to live in peace. Noor's little boy deserves a better life than his father has endured. We ALL need to reject the concept of war as an acceptable form of resolving our differences. Violence and oppression must become part of a past, difficult human condition we can learn from. @@nathanmichell7210 I hear people like you saying "for what" all the time about this. It proves that you are uneducated, because literally everything you see in the video, is what it was for. Before the US backed government, there was taliban. They did not tolerate any of this, the lively markets, music, colorful clothing styles you see everyone wearing, the women in the video able to show their face. None of that was allowed with the taliban, they banned music, leisurely activities, colorful clothing, they publicly executed a woman in the middle of a football stadium as entertainment. Improvements in Afghans' lives and the standard of living, education, technology, human rights, womens lives, eliminating diseases, that has all happened under the current government that was established after the US invasion. The biggest travesty of all the sacrifice we have made is people like you who are so determined to make it out like that war has achieved nothing, and preach about how there should never be a war again. You know nothing about the world and that not all people think that way, or else yes of course we would have world peace and it would be wonderful. But there are people who are not afraid to impose their will on others in violent ways and only a child would think that that is ever going to stop

Thank you so much Drew for taking us in this journey. My ancestors they came to India from Paghman Afghanistan around Circa 1867. I was always very curious to know about my roots and you literally give the glimpse of my ancestral home country. I choked up several times seeing the happy and welcoming faces of Afghani people (who might be related to me) Thank you so much once again for giving us this incredible treat. God bless you.

Same here sis i have afghan roots my forefathers were from kandahar and bamiyan afghanistan then they migrated to malakand Pakistan 🇵🇰 Then migrated to india in 1740 But people from western world think us that we are not educated but that is true because of lack of education and no women rights and religious dogma it is biggest problem in afghanistan and their problem of other ethnic groups living in afghanistan due to racism I am an pashtun from🇮🇳 but i respect other afghan ethnic group I had watched the video of pag beerar my mind automatically changed Being afghan descdant I felt sad for my origin ❤😭 I hope that afghanistan could be in better place in future ❤🙏 Love for my afghan brothers and sisters🇦🇫 🇮🇳 Der manana ❤🙏 and tashakur ❤🙏

Super vlog drew.. it’s just so heart warming to see someone from the west visiting Afghanistan.. I’ve visited this beautiful country for business in 2005-2006.. the people are so so nice, the would literally serve their hearts out on platter to make u comfortable.. it pains me to see what all have they been through.. I wish they are able to get the much needed political stability and peace that they so so deserve.. hang in there my afghan brothers, there are much much better times to come for you’ll.. loads of love and respect ✊ 🙏

I’m an Afghan and had to leave Afghanistan because of Taliban. I never expected Drew to go there and just found this video. I really miss the food, my parents lives in a different country, my siblings are spread in different countries because some countries accepted females, some were open to males. That just broke our family, seeing this video makes me really emotional. I wish Afghans didn’t have to suffer so much just because they were born in Afghanistan.
